Hello, all!

I'm attempting to make a custom case with MechaBowser's Case Maker. Since I'm not much of an artist, I planned on using existing character sprites for my original characters.

I tried using ImageReady to piece together character animations using the sprite sheets available on Court Records, but came across a problem - when I entered the sprites into the database of the Case Maker, there were white patches around the eyes and the sprite was blinking much too rapidly. Also, some of my .gifs were strangely fuzzy, even though I saved them "As Optimized."

I've noticed that existing sprites in the folders of the other projects that came along with the Case Maker also have blinking problems, but otherwise seem to work OK.

Could anyone please give me a hand in making sprites that will work with the Case Maker?

I had this problem at first too, and I have a way to fix it. You mentioned saving them 'as optimized', are you by any chance using Photoshop ImageReady?

Yeah, that's the program.

Alright, just find a frame of animation that's 'normal' (not blinking), it's usually the last one.

Click the #.#s below it and change it to a larger number, like 5.0. Then Save Optimized as... -> a .gif file.

I'm not sure how much of that you were doing, but that process should work...

...like so?

EDIT:

Unfortunately, it didn't do anything. This is still what shows up when I choose "Ivanna" under "Character Appearance."

She's blinking much too fast, there's that white stuff around her eyes, and she's off-center.
As opposed to this Maya sprite (which happens to be the one that works best with the Case Maker so far)

I'm always going to be a fan of Paint Shop Pro and Animation Shop.

Zvarri!!! :phoenix:

Here's a simpler request: Just give me the last saved CCA for this project so I can fix case maker's Profiles section and add an objection/minuku button. :nick:

Man, what I wouldn't give if someone was able to continue the Case Maker program where MechaBowser left off...

Profiles, examining locations during Investigation, presenting evidence during Investigation, and cleaning up the way the bottom screen looks (so it's closer to the actual games)... if those things were implemented, the Case Maker would be PERFECT.

EDIT:

By opening the Maya sprite that works and examining it in ImageReady, I managed to create a centered "Ivanna" sprite that isn't fuzzy and blinks normally. I still get the weird white spots around the eyes though.
