If you're having trouble animating, Gimp might be an easier substitute?

One of these days I might have to get it :yuusaku: It's downloading right now, innn fact. I'll definitely look at it.

If I'm understanding correctly, you cannot in PSE either, so that's okay. =)

Did you? =0 I'm working on animating Larry Prosecutor right now, because he'll be easiest to animate and I need practice.

Thanks. I'll take a closer look at it once GIMP is finished downloading. I'm making all of the Larry faces for his arrogant animation transparent. It's a real pain. :yuusaku:

*sigh* A few hours and a possible carpal tunnel syndrome later, I've finally got all of the frames worked out- namely, Larry's head is correct on all of them. I just have to clean up the new semi-translucent pixels and then...fun with animation.

I'll look at that program, Vordox =) (I wouldn't be able to buy it, but I can look at the trial. I hope there is a Mac version...-__- Mac/Windows compatibility is so silly.)

I've spent so much time editing little translucent pixels that I see them everywhere 0-0

When I animate, I go to this GiF animator I am using, EGA, and I Create a new Image with the size that I am going to animate(Usually X/((X*2)=Y), Then I save each and every one frame one by one in PNG

Hasn't failed me yet.

About EGA and Mac; I have no idea about that. =/

I've hit a new level of lame. -__-

Sorry. So many tests. Topic so dead...gravedigging so late at night...*sighs*

Anyways. I haven't got a sprite, but I have got a beginning of a semi-scratch OC. No name, no direction. But I think it's turning out...okay...? I know, there's no shading or anything, but I just wanted to get the colors in after the outline.
Spoiler: it's a bit big. and a bit lame.

Biblio, you're not lame. You got to get out of that mindset! (Even if it is being said jokingly) :)

Good luck on your tests and shtuffs. I'm quite busy too -____-''

Anyway, I like the most recent drawing you posted. There's something goin' on with the right side of her face, but the facial features are simple, yet effective. :D Good job, and I can tell you're on your way to leetness.

Somewhat jokingly =) It was because...as much time as I seem to have, namely very little, I get so little accomplished. It's pathetic, in a way. =)

Thanks =D I figured out that I
a) Was obviously really tired on my Geometry test, because for SOME reason I just neglected to answer several questions when I remember clearly thinking the answers in my head. Sure, they were the wrong answers, but it's the thought that matters? (I also called a hexagon a 6-gon. Ooops.)
b) Probably did badly on my English test. Stupid timed essay -__-
c) Did well on my Spanish quiz. Sigh, I'm better at another language than I am at my native one...

I also had a grammar test today, a biology test yesterday, the PLAN coming up, my sister took a standardized test today (it's an exit exam, so I start taking it next year...) Oh, how I love tests. -______- [/sarcasm]

Anyways, enough spammish. I fixed the right side and added some shading...a bit. It's still not finished, and it makes me sad because I found that somehow I managed to make the entire thing on a 100x100 pixels canvas, which means the actual thing is reallly tiny. Ooops.

Image small version...the actual size, eheheh. Maybe it'll work as a mugshot? 0-0;
Image I think it's times 200, but it's a tad too pixelated to use.

Update: This is for Monsieur Geno. I thought I might as well post it here too, because...

FIRST SUCCESSFUL ANIMATION. WOOT.

Heck, who cares that Payne only has four different frames? =DDD

Image

Right. I further balded him and gave him a white suit (per Geno's thingy, but who knows if it'll get used, 'cause Drammy is on the scene.) You just don't know how ridiculously proud I am of the animation, though. After trying for hours to animate Larry on PSE, I managed to animate it...in less time! I GIMP'd it this time. *loves Payne for once*

Update: Image
The other one that I managed to complete. Much harder, but..

Sorry to double-post, but I have a...semi-update? Payne was being annoying because Gimp and PSE don't like each other ( :grey: ) so I decided to begin work on a sprite of myself. I just have the head so far. Image Eyes and nose from Ema, mouth modified from Trucy, hair scratched, and palette also partially from Ema (namely skin and the base hair color, all other shading colors aren't from her.) I'm actually pretty proud of the way it's turning out. All I need now are some clothes...hmmm...

And, update: YESSSSS PAYNE IS BACK IN BUSINESS. *does celebratory dance* WOOTWOOT.

Well, wowee. Triple post.

...I really am lame...

Anyways, what I'm working on right now:

1. Older!Payne for Geno. Need two more animations off the main sheet, need to make a sheet, and...umm...maybe attempt the more difficult animations...
2. My OC self-sprite, who I've finally named-- Bee Lyon. It's a pun, because of Beeline, and Bee is one of my nicknames, so. As I've posted, the head is pretty close to completion, and the concepts for clothing are on paper but not in my computer. EDIT: It's FARFARFAR from finished, but I have a simple outline for the shirt. I stole Trucy's arms, but the rest of the shirt is all me, I promise (like you couldn't tell...), although I did use a picture as a guide. It looks like this--Image
3. A new OC prosecutor, whose full name...I can't tell you, because it's spoilerish for whatever I might do with the character. Same goes for the gender. The OC's name is Ser Mispropios (the first name isn't full), so the pun is Ser (the infinitive 'to be' in Spanish) along with what, as far as I know, is 'my own', also in Spanish (if you know otherwise, tell me!), taken from 'mis los propios'. So the full pun is 'to be my own', which pertains to Ser's background. Still in late conceptual stage-it's on paper right now...

Ahh not bad.
Just work on the neckline to make it look more natural..
Maybe with shading?

And with PAyne, you might want to choose a different color for the outline.
LIke with Ema's coat, it isn't black, but more of a blue.

Good job =D

Hmm.

Needs work, not much since you have the sprite mostly done just the finer details of the lines and the colours. You want some easy shading you should have 3 colours for each shade.

Keep working on it, It'll turn out good.^^

Thanks for helping! I tried to adapt the neckline a bit, along with the shading on the shirt.
Image
I also adapted a locket to go on, but I don't know whether I'll put it on, so I just left it out for now =D

Hmm, something still isn't right. Can anyone think of a quick reference on arm shading with sleeves somewhat like mine, a PW sprite reference? I'm drawing a blank right now...

And I think I'll try and adapt the face.

*nods and wanders off* Please, still criticize.

EDIT: Changed the face an infinitesimal amount.
