Nah, it's not that difficult, just takes time. It took me a while to start spriting, my first sprites looked like a thing that would be in hell's horror gallery but with help of a few friends like ptapc or "TAP" and Auraion here in the forums active feedback helped. Maybe i can help just tell me how or what is giving you issues with spriting.
(after years in cr i just realized the time in the post is 6 pm and here its 12 pm xD)
