DOWNLOADED GIMP! Yay Gimp! I loves it<3 And I transparentized the couple new ones, because the old ones aren't worth it. XP Also, Celeste and Older Wocky are now animated! 8D

Anyway, use shading. And recolour better.
And use the excuse of having MSPaint, and I will beart you to death. Go look at Tajiri Ami's sprites. They're made with MS paint, and they're fucking sweet.

It can be pretty difficult to use paint compared to other programs, but I've been using it the past 10 - 13 years... It takes alot of practice, not as much as me, my art got better when I was around 17 - 18, & I'm 20 now... All you have to do is take a close look at the sprites to see how you should shade them...
Gustice don't underestimate paint, it's just as good as photoshop if you have the necessary skills, & Occlude remember that Paint requires alot of practice & time to get good at using...

I think you just need to define your lines a little better, and shading.
You could use some pallets from other characters and go on from there.

Also, try downloading GIMP if you find yourself getting frustrated with MS PAINT. GIMP is sort of like photoshop.

As for some actual advice.
Paint is great, and it can do a bunch of essential stuff.
To get better at using it, just go to youtube and type in Paint Tutorials
That is how I learned how to use a bunch of things on paint.
You could also download some free paint tools that are easy to use as well
