Browsing through the forum archives, I found the old "Gather! Deceased Characters!" thread. That thread and its creator have been inactive for some time now, so bumping the topic would be pointless. I thought about making a new "Gather! Deceased Characters!" thread, but then I figured, "why stop there?" Ace Attorney Online has had a Canon Character Custom Sprite thread for a while now, so I figured if I could get enough willing contributors here, Court Records could have its very own Canon Character Sprite Repository.

Rules for submission:
* Talking Sprites: These are a must for trials. If you submit only one sprite to this thread, please make it a talking sprite, because...
* Blinking Sprites: These can be made rather easily by extracting the blink animation from talking sprites, so they aren't as high priority for submission. Therefore, to submit a blinking sprite, you must either submit a talking sprite for the same pose, or give permission for other artists to use your work as a base to create a talking sprite.
* Start-Up Sprites: These are generally one-time-use sprites that perform a specific action, then stop. Some have blinking and talking sprites to be used after the Start-Up action (e.g. Phoenix's "objection" sprite is the Start-Up, and his "pointing" sprites are the blinking and talking sprites), others however, just stop after performing their action (e.g. Edgeworth's bow or Phoenix's "Oh, Crap!" reaction). You may submit either type with no limitations other than site guidelines.
* Profile Pics: Not a whole lot of demand for these, but some good candidates are characters who don't have a proper profile pic (e.g. Young!Mia) or characters from Dual Destinies (as their existing pics don't quite fit with the GBA/DS era profiles). Hey, if they don't have a sprite set, they can still be used as victims, right?
* Courtroom Sprites: You know those sprites you see when you have that zoomed-out view of the courtroom? That's what these are. If a character doesn't have a courtroom sprite, they could stand to have one. If a character does have a courtroom sprite, you could give them a different pose if you'd like.

All sprite submissions (except profile icons) must have transparency. People can't use sprites if the sprites are blocking the background.

Please state what your sprite's terms of use are when submitting. For a list of the default terms, see the handy list below.

Please remember to adhere to site guidelines regarding what can and cannot be posted. If you need a reminder of those rules, you can find them here.

Rules for use:
Unless otherwise stated, please be polite ask the artists for permission before using their sprites. Just because they posted them here doesn't necessarily mean they want their sprites used willy-nilly.

Make sure to credit the artists when using their sprites.

Unless otherwise stated, do NOT hotlink any of these sprites. Download them to your computer, then upload them to an image hosting site of your choosing, such as imgur. Bandwidth is a precious commodity for some.

Grr. That's sure a hell lot of spriters needed for the making of Athena Sprites. It was me who gave the idea of making a sweat pose of the Athena Cykes, though it was Shiro and Mij who made them.

I was looking through some unfinished sprites that I had and I found a barely done, pre DL-6 Yanni Yogi. I spent about a week touching him up and adding a few animations. I hope you enjoy.

Hopefully you didn't stole the art, did you? Because I remember seeing someone making a Pre-DL6 (Young!Yogi) Yogi sprites. Be honest.

You are correct. There is already Pre DL-6 Yogi Sprites. They were made by ksunwoo6. However ours look nothing alike (though his are better than mine). Click here for evidence

Here you go Doctor, Some more sprites. This one is the Judge as he would appear if you met him outside of court.



And before anyone asks, yes, Cup_of_Law did already make Judge front sprites, however they were styled like an investigations character so I made some to be in the style of the original trilogy + AJ.

Side note: Are we allowed to update previously made sprites? Looking back at Yogi, I probably could have done more with him.

You are more than welcome to add or change sprites. It's your sprite album after all. Just let me know if the number of sprites in the album changes.

(Just don't delete sprites unless you plan to replace them with updated versions, if you need more space, I'll provide a mirror).

Wow, that's uncanny. I'm kind of surprised she wasn't wringing the book on and off like that in the original sprites though.

(Besides, if I really wanted to post someone else's sprites as my own, there are plenty of inactive users I could steal from who wouldn't be able to call me out on it. )
