I was once removing the antenna hair from Apollo, and then realized how much his 'new' hair made him almost look like Neil Marshall. So for a couple of days this week, I was busy making court sprites of Neil.

It's not perfect, but I do like the clothing a whole lot. Perhaps I should have used Klavier's head for his face, what do ya'll think?

I need criticism. I want this sprite to be perfect, since I'm a bit of a perfectionist in my sprites. Just point out anything out of place and I shall fix it. After all, I plan to submit this to court-records once I make the other sprites of him etc.

Ever since I set to work on Alice Payne, I've decided that custom characters should not have anything copied directly from other characters. However, I won't fault you for using Apollo as a base sprite.

Moving on, the vest looks to me as if it was made in a hurry. It appears to only be two colors. Also, I think Neil's face should be done from scratch; otherwise, a lot of people will think about Apollo first and Neil second when looking at your sprite.

I'm not very good at making sprites by scratch, if anything only little details such as the sleeves. The vest was somewhat a recolor of Apollo's vest, and I guess that the shading kinda clashes it.

I dunno... glancing at the second sprite with the hat on, and I instantly see it as Neil's face. Though the outfit still needs work.

As other people have said, the vest. I think the lines towards the middle could be more curved/less straight. Also, for the face, there are some sideways-ish looking sprites for Jake Marshall. Maybe you'd want to take a nose or mouth from those, though I think Apollo's are fine. Maybe swipe Klavier's eyes? All in all, good work, though! :maya:

I agree with these guys on the whole, the face is what needs changing the most though, he needs to have smaller eyes and a more cocky expression, but other than that good job.

I halfway agree on the face, I really noticed first off that, in the game, Neil's and Apollo's faces are similar (they truly are, even their profile pics are cocked the same way), the sprite's pretty good.

What I might reccomend doing (as I look at a side by side comparison of these profile pics) is lengthening the nose (by lowering it and extending the bridge (top of the nose) a little higher) switching out Apollo's eyes with Maybe Klavier's or Edgeworth's eyes, whichever look the best to you, and keep the eyebrows but remove the spikes from the eyebrow.

And now, my only real problem is the tie, I'm hoping it's really starched, because my only other assumption is that he's carrying a tie sword :D. Make it go with the shape of the body.

All in all it's a good sprite, with a little work, it can be an AWESOME sprite.

Right, I got it. I'll begin and try to fix the sprite up later today.

As for the vest curves, I'm still not sure what everyone means exactly. Do you mean the actual vest or..?

You might also want to fix the eyebrows...I don't think Neil has forked eyebrows like Apollo does XD

I agree with the vest comment, it looks a little rushed. Other than that I think it looks great.
Hey, she may be a thief, and a killer, and a liar, and pretty much clinically insane... But she's still my subordinate!

I think everything looks excellent EXCEPT the face. It looks a little... off...
Oh, well. It looks really great!
