2022 Sprite and 3D Model Competition!!!

Congratulations again to all the entrants! This was a phenomenal effort and I wish you all the best with your future artistic endeavours!
| RULES: |
Each entrant must submit a brand-new original character drawn or modelled in the style of the Ace Attorney games.
This competition aims at generating new assets free for fangame creators to use in their projects. As such all entries must be made with the aim of allowing them to be free-to-use upon the end of this competition.
Each entry must:
- Contain at least 3 unique poses for this character, in both talking and blinking variations;
- Sprites must be 256 pixels wide and 192 pixels tall, and can be provided as sprite sheets or as .GIF files; and
- Be in, or close to the Ace Attorney art style.
FOR 3D MODELLERS: Submitting your model is optional, but not required. Only animations which can be used in fan case makers such as
Ace Attorney Online, or PYWright are required to constitute a valid entry.

Entries will open: Tuesday 8 March 2022.
Entries close at the end of Friday 8 July 2022 AEDT.
Please submit your entry here or to the Ace Attorney Case Developers Discord Server.
| PRIZES: |
The top 2 entrants can choose one of either:
- Steam copy of the "Ace Attorney Trilogy";
- Steam copy of the "Great Ace Attorney Chronicles"; or
- A small collection of Ace Attorney merchandise including a Phoenix and Steel Samurai Keychain, Vinyl keychains of Phoenix, Maya, and Pearl, and a Susato-themed metal bookmark.

I'm just entering for fun though. I already own the Ace Attorney games and I wouldn't have anywhere to put physical merch, so if I make top 2, feel free to give the prizes to whoever comes after me.

What I meant is that 8 July is Friday, 8 June was Wedensday, you changed June to July in OP, but forgot to change the day, it still says Wednesday ;).

Initially, I was going to make a completely different character, but later I conluded that they are too important to me and I don't want to share them them public for anyone to use... yet (I'm still hoping to finish one of my projects... someday). So, basically, this is an eleventh hour replacement; this time as an incomplete spritesheet (but containing enough sprites to make three required poses). I didn't have time to reforge it into animations - curse you, timezones; why is it already tomorrow in Australia?
The last pose (the lasso one) is a bit janky and unpolished (not enough frames), I'll try to improve it later in my free time; however, if someone talented wants to boost it... well, be my guest, you can do whatever you want with this gal, make some new poses, go nuts!

I've come to my decision, and I'll consult with Scuttle and General Luigi to finalise with their views. We're narrowing down our choices and should be in a position to announce winners shortly.
We'll keep you posted! I want to get this done ASAP so I can mail out prizes.

The judges have made their decision!
I want to say first and foremost how impressed we all were with these entries! There's some serious talent in the AA fandom here! I've personally been spriting in this community for over a decade so it's humbling to see so many people still so passionate about this art form.
The three of us conducted our voting in the following way:
- We first looked at each of the entries, and assessed them according to three criteria: "Creativity"; "Likeness to official Ace Attorney sprites"; and "Versatility/usability in a fan-made project".
- We then picked our top 3 preferences each, and assigned 3 points for our first picks, 2 for second and 1 for third.
- We tallied the votes, and, where the was a tie employed a preferential voting style deliberation to break the tie (this happened twice because it was so close!!!).
With this completed, we're now proud to present our runner-up and winner of the 2022 AACD x CR sprite competition!
