I just recently started editting sprites, but I'm starting to get the hang of it. Here are some sprites.
I make them on Paint. Comments?
Newest at top.

Image
These two twins are Summer and Spring.
Well, at least...that is their stage name. These are two characters from a case Turnabout Twin. Of course, this case exists solely in my head, and I dont plan on sharing it anythime soon. The basic plot of it is that the teen phenomenons Summer and Spring, stars of the hit show "Two Seasons" are murdered. Both are murdered at the exist same time, same place, same way. However, one body is missing. In the case it is discovered that Summer and Spring are actually not twins, but rather one actress who played both of them using special effects. The murder? Well ,thats another story, and other sprite. Coming soon.

I made a child verison of Larry inspired on this picture:

The result-

I like it, but part of the ear is missing :(

I've recently discovered its incredible fun to make PW characters fat so I now present my new fat sprites (shield your eyes!)
Image
Fat Tigre. I didn't give him the tiger shirt, it was too difficult. Guess he's just too fat for it now. :larry:
Image
Fat Larry. Pretty Self Explaintory.
General:
Image
Waitress Ema. Not very good, but I like it. I used parts of young Ema and Maggey in her uniform.

Image
An OC: Marta Karin. I love this sprite. It came out very nice I think. I used parts of Regina, Penny,Larry in his Laurice suit, and Trucy
More on her soon :)

Gender Swaps
Image
Male Bikini..or female Jean?

Image
Male Bikini or Female Grossberg?

Early Sprites:
Image
An OC: Norma Lee
More on her later.

Image
An OC: Sarah Desshurt
More on her later

My VERY first sprites:

Early Sarah

Party Trucy

You should save these as .pngs instead of .jpg. Lines could use some smoothing and more shading on the sprites but they look good for your first try.

Well, first of all, I can't teach you everything in this post. Check out a good pixelart/spriting tutorial (I have one that pertains to Pokemon spriting, but it also has techniques that can be used in PW sprites).
First of all, don't use default paint colors. Make your own/steal them from official sprites. I find the second easier when you're starting out.
As MoX said, try and make them less choppy. Study official sprites.
And don't save as JPG. Save as PNG using Paint, or GIF using Giffy.
Also, your anatomy seems to be skewed on the second one. She has no neck... study your own body, or that of any other person (even the PW sprites).
After you take these steps, you should see improvement. Then we can progress. :yogi:

I suggest that too.
Otherwise, good.

Thanks guys! I tried again, and made Sarah much better. I never realized you could zoom in on Paint :udgy: Once I did, shading was so simple! I've very pleased with my results. Its not perfect, but its a start, a much better start than before!
Image
The only think I'm not fond with is the neck and size of head..it seems too small.
More hints?

otherwise, really good!

Child Larry is good, I agree.
