If that's Japanese art, why is Franziska holding what appears to be American money?

EDIT: Oh that's right. In the Japanese version, she went to America, not Germany. Still, why hasn't she converted her American currency by now? In the American version, would she be handing Gumshoe a 5-Euro bill?

EDIT2: I would think she would want to be perfect, and already have Japanese currency at the ready. Unless she thought the Japanese monetary system was imperfect, and thus beneath her? Or am I reading to much into this?
