So, I was looking in the "fanart" section really quick and... didn't really find a place for downright obnoxious, silly or stupid art.

And seeing as I just sent 20 minutes making such redonculous art, I felt there should be a thread for it. Granted I DID NOT go through every single thread in this topic, so If I was mistaken and there already is such a thread, let me know and I will gladly join in.

Otherwise, Enjoy (or run in fear, as it were) of the dreaded...!
Spoiler: PRO-SECUTOR

And by all means, make your own versions of the Pro-secutor.. Miles Edgeworth cant be the only one~! (or it'd be such a lonely lonely existence for him~)

Spoiler: Two Edgey Gifs~ and their reference- Kyle Hyde

This was my first attempt, trying to figure out what I was doing

This is the "finished product" Given more understanding of it, I'd color it... but... I'm told Photoshop is better for this kinda stuff, and I did it in flash, so, maybe next time

If you want to use either of the Edgeworth GIFs as a avi somewhere, feel free to save 'em

That's pretty much what I was going for.

Also, artists/spritists out there, I want this to be a community effort. If you have "dumb" art, do share~ <3 I can't be the only one submitting to the redonculous-ness (though if no one else does, I may not have a choice)

Alright, I see how it is, the burden of redonculosity is on me. I accept this challenge. I shall prove my worth with a late holiday picture. Do enjoy~~~

It really wouldn't be all-too-shocking, would it? Hmm... He probably kicks puppies too...

haha, but thanks ..^_^..

I'll try to make more, but my ability to come up with ideas for things like this is... well, poor at best... Though I suppose if people have ridiculous ideas they'd like to see drawn, I could do that too~

Not really up to my usual standards, but that's because... I.. got distracted. I DO have a rather redonculous work in progress (it involves Godot! and COFFEE!)

This is me trying to figure out how to use flash... It only qualifies for "redonc" because.. I'm basing it off some Kyle Hyde Gifs (I always picture Edgeworth making some of his expressions, and so, I figured what better way to piddle around in flash than to make an Edgeworth version of Kyle Hyde~)

It's clearly not done... But it took me a while to get this far and I think I'm finally at a starting point I can work with. So, eventually this may be my Avi~ w00t. (I want to color it by then though, and.. I have no idea how to do that in flash yet~ sohooo)

Flash isn't all that great for beginners who aren't looking to make games. If you just want to make a simple animation, then maybe you should just use Photoshop which is what I use all the time for animated gifs. Here is one I did before - took me about 20 minutes using frames and minor editing. So for something simple like this, I wouldn't bother with Flash.

In which CS of Photoshop can you work in frames then (I have CS3)? I was never taught to use photoshop in such a way, so I never .... though of it... I had known that there was a passibility of using it as such (had kinda heard a rumor but nothing concrete), but~ I am unsure how to do it that way~

Can you send me some form of tutorial link, or tell me yourself? It would be greatly appreciated (WITH HEARTS <333)

oo oo, I just found this though YAY so lemme play with this a bit and see what I can do~

The reason I ended up using Flash in the first place was that... Photoshop didn't open up my reference GIF in frames, but Flash did... Though I am much more familiar with the way PS draws, so maybe I'll try to tool around in this a bit and see what I can come up with~

I can't imagine why you'd have problems with CS3 because I only have the crappy free PS Elements from 10 years ago that came with my tablet. If my PS can do it yours can too. Otherwise I gotta say I'm glad I didn't buy PS...

Anyway I have no time to make a picture tutorial for you so you'll have to put up with a written one. Being a doctor and writing a research article for publication for the world's medical profession to diss at is life time consuming.... *stabs self with scalpels* So excuse me for my possible oversights towards your education by not giving it my all. :acro:

1. Basically you can start off with a new blank piece or open an exisiting image or gif. My PS Elements open up all .gif files with every single frame displayed in layers.

2. Make your base image which you will be editing off. Be sure to save this under another name incase you make stupid mistakes like I do. If you want to add colour and backgrounds or whatever, make sure you do it at the base level before you start making layers/frames. However if text/dialogue is involved - as per my above example - you should leave it till last... or up to you. If you screw up it can be excruciating to fix. Crtl + Z only goes back about 30 steps.

3. Cover and uncover each layer to have a look at what you're doing. This is like how animators flip the pages in quick succession in their giant animation sketch books of doom.

4. Select File -> Save for Web -> Select save as GIF -> Tick 'animate' -> adjust your frame speeds. Save. Open it and look at it. Repeat 2-4 until satisfied. I usually need to do this a couple of times before it's perfect or until I'm too sick of it to care. Have another example I made a while ago - it also should open in PS with frames.

The end.

I told you it's easy.
Ok sometimes PS hates me and tells me the file is too big to animate, but sometimes not. I'm not sure why it does this. I suggest fiddling around with it until it stops being a ho. Also I have never used PS CS1-4 so I have no clue if these steps will work for you. Alternatively you can illegally give me your copy of CS3 and I will be most delighted to figure it out for you....... :wellington:

If you don't understand this process, then I suggest you google for special animated gif making programs. I hear there are many of these for free around. Though I've never bothered because PS has satisfied my animation aspirations so far. But yes if you plan on making super amazing gifs, don't invest in PS. It has its limitations.

Again I'm stumped by why CS3 wouldn't open .gifs in frames. If PS Elements can, CS3 can. FOR SURE. OH COME ON. BOO YOU WHORE, PS. Actually if you have Flash I assume you have the other Macromedia programs like Fireworks? That program can do animation too. But I haven't used it since I was... 15 so I don't remember if I just told you a lie or not. But it's attached to Flash so I think it must. :lana:

Yeah idk man. Is your CS3 the full version or a trial version? Even trial versions can't be that stingy. Surely. RIIIGHT? :yuusaku:

Many questions and points of interest. I have Adobe CS3 Design Suite Extended version. It does not have FireWorks. I also have PS Elements from when I got my tablet. My PSE OPENS the GIF in layers, my PS CS3 DOES NOT.. I don't know why... I even tried opening it through "Import" and things, and it just wont go. I'm going to have to figure that one out ?(though once I figure out the animation in general, in PS, I may not have to~)

/EDIT/
NEVERMIND, I just stumbled on THIS ARTICLE, straight from the horses mouth... Looks like you can't do that type of file-opening in PS anymore, good thing I never unistalled PSE!

I can't imagine that I would need to do anything Super-Amazing in terms of GIFs, I just want to be able to do them if I want (I've always wanted animated Avis, but never realized I had software that would make them...)

Well, I guess I'll just have to read and practice following your tutorial ( also found another one here)

Thanks for the help and insight

and.. I would so give you my PS3... but I got it on VUZE... took forever to find a working Keygen... and I forgot what site I found it on...so~~ :sadshoe:

So we have now learnt that PS is a massive Whore, and truly is that stingy and should be shot-dead. Ah, brother.

//EDIT//

Finished it in flash anyway, just cause... I already started it there... but my next attempt shall be in PS for sure. Photoshop wont give me nearly as much hassle about putting my lines where I want them, and not making shiz up as it goes...

Spoiler: My reference

EDIT

I cant double-post, but, I have another art for y'alls... it's not the one I promised, but it's an Edgeworth doodle I made.. of him and his dog~

Spoiler: Edge and Pess
Image And for the record, I LOVE pitbulls, my dog is a pit-mix. I just think that a pit would be the perfect breed for Edgey, as they say, a dog is like it's master. Strong-willed, determined, strong. But also pit bulls are obedient, smart and cunning, I think it works~
