The best advice I can give is to just keep drawing! Carry a little notebook around with you and whenever something inspires you to sketch, do so. Drawing skills only improve with practice and if you always have the opportunity to sketch you'll find yourself doing so more often! <3

Im not very good at drawing so I turned to collage 'cause I really needed a good grade for that project. I don't practice much - I usually draw cartoons. I'm a saddo.

Are you wanting crit? If so, you have the start of angel wings, but they need feathers. I suggest looking at bird wings and how they look. You can do many variations of wings for different types of angels, but bird wings seem the classic.
Sometimes I like to try wings of light though. I like to think of angles as spirits, so I emphasise the glow more.
Bird wings are traditional. You could do other variations though depending on the feel that you want

That I approve of ;) )BTW- how do you scan these pictures? They're coming out very over exposed. Do you use a camera or a scanner? And if so, how do you do it? (If it's a camera, do you take a blurry shot and photoshop it or something? If scanning, what resolution do you use and program etc...)
A small tip for drawing hair- When you draw the head, draw the skull also in pencil, and when you go to the hair, try to imagine that the hair grows off the skull evenly. If you skip this step and go straight to hair, the hair can flatten out or buff out too much cause you don't know where to draw it :) It makes it easier to draw :)

I scanned them on nd then edited them on the computor - may have gone a bit over the top... I think I used either photoimpression or windows photo thingy. :)(not v helpful...) I'll try to fix it :)

Um- looking at Photoimpression (6.5 gold) you can do some photo manipulation things - "straighten, Crop, Enhance, Sharpen, Fix Red-Eye, and Improve Color." I'm not familer with what they do, but ignore red eye. Don't improve colour untill the end, don't sharpen cause sharpening is a VERY hit and miss setting. Usually it just ads noise to imply a sharper image. In the end, nothing fixes a poor scan. If your scanner scans it blurry than get rid of it cause it's past it's used by date anyways (I have a canon scanner- LIDE 25. These are CONSISTANTLY good scanners. See if Ebay have them cheep. It's LED technology rather than fluro :D ). Enhance sounds like it COULD be auto Levels, or brightness/contrast. Either is ok, but without a few other extra functions, I think you'd have major problems keeping your original colours. I'd say concentrate on crp, straighten, Enhance, and at the end, improve colour. I think that would be like auto colour, where it takes out washes of colour caused by sunlight ore fluros and stuff morphing the colour to another colour. Do it only once.
I'm not sure if that's helpfull for you cause I don't know the program but I hope it does ^^;

Uh... I'm in art funk at the moment so till I'm out of that, not much. I'm at the boring stage to make it worse. Hands and clothing. It'll likely progress when I crank up with art again. There's a reason I'm cross posting my art at the moment though to another account. I just don't want feed back to distract me. It's hard T.T
