So! I've been wondering why no one have started a post similar to the "fanwork station" in the old forum. Of course, the new forum is divided into a lot of new categories, so instead of posting all kinds of fanwork, this one will only revolve around your fanart!
Instead of having everyone just show off their fanart in their own thread, this thread will allow for easier acces to everyone's newest fanart. Post your works, talk about other's pics and have a good time. If a thread like this already exists somewhere... well... it has drowned in newer threads, so....

Is this for art that doesn't have an artist that belongs to CR? Cause I know I'd rather put my own art into my own thread. A thread like this would get messy otherwise.

I agree with Arkillian! We have so many different artist who already have their own threads already, that I think most of them would want to stay put. >w<

Right. Cause some artists post more than 1 picture at a time, and members also want to search out all the art belonging to one artist. So for those people interested in the artist rather than just the specific art, do they have to hunt them down off site to find more art of them? Or are you suggesting that they should post here AND in their own thread. Nar. You're best just to make this thread on just your art like everyone else has, unless this is for fanart done by people off site. And if you're going to do that, I'd appreciate if you wrote down where you found the picture, and the artist's name. A full credit is essential, otherwise the true artist doesn't get credit for their hard work.

First of all: the fanart in the first post is made by me. I never post other people's art.
Second: to those of you who're familiar with the old forum, there was a thread called the Fanwork Station, where people could post and share their own works in that thread, besides just their own thread. Fanart was shared, laughs were had and it was a pretty popular and crowded thread. I simply tried to make a similar one, only making this one limited to fanart, rather than fanfics, sprites etc. But I guess you don't want a thread like that then?

Yeah, I completely missed the point Probably because I had just woken up when I read your posts.. but I am not trying to make people post ALL of their fanart here, but just, you know, have a thread where you could post your newest creations and discuss it with other members. It's not that difficult to post in two threads, and the chances of your work being spotted will be doubled as well. And it's not like it's hard to track down the creator of the art, since it's

i suppose a thread such as this could be called "messy" but you could also say that it's more "open for discussion". The Fanwork Thread at the old forum was one of my favourite threads, because you could post art and reply to other people's art at the same time, and it WORKED. I just tried to revive such a thread, but seeing as we're filling up the first page with this sort of discussions, I guess my attempt to do so failed. Oh well

I'm going to have to agree with Arkillian here. Fanwork station was in theory a temporary solution where people could post their works without making threads for them, which at the time was a good idea as the court docket was already filled to the brim with new topics, access to the other subforums was obtuse and many expected that we'd return to the main forums fairly soon. After access to the fanwork sections was made easier and it was clear that we wouldn't be moving back for a long time the thread continued to be used simply because people had been using it so much previously.

As said previously, most artists here already have their own threads and there's nothing really holding them back from making one thread if they don't. There is the whole community aspect, but CR isn't really active enough to sustain what it was like on the old forums and it's no more difficult to discuss images on an artist's thread over a megathread like fanwork station. So yes, I'm locking this one up, feel free to make your own thread if you want to post your own images.

In terms of what Arkillan was discussing, we already have a thread like that here, It just hasn't seen much use at all.
