Hey everyone. I'm relatively unknown here, only joined to say 'hi' after Anime Boston this year and have been lying low ever since, but That-Boy and I did an impromptu photoshoot a little bit ago that I've been waiting for him to post... and he never did. So, here I am, picking up the slack (ilu bb <#).

We pulled out his Edgeworth costume and I donned a fully closet-made Gumshoe and we set out to the Oviedo Marketplace to set up a little hit-n-run action a la Gyakuten Kenji. Our lovely photog was the body in this shoot and we did what we'd seen them do up until now in the screenshots (minus this latest trailer, SO want to play already, haha!) along with other silly things.

Note, this was a complete goof-off shoot and my costume was not meant to be especially accurate. We were just messing around ;3 Hope you enjoy!

Lol! Those costumes are amazing!! Edgy's hair looked a tad too white, but that was still great and funny!

That was my fav, along with "Pretend it's raining, okay?" All the poses were done really well, so bravo!!

btw, was that victim one of your friends that came along, or someone that you random asked, "Hey, can you lie down on the ground here so we can pretend you're dead?" ('cause she's not in any other pics)

The wig is actually being remade as we speak. It was a last-minute grab and style for Anime Boston and was crushed in a suitcase before the shoot happened without any real fixing. We were actually going to be using That-Boy's real hair for the con, but his hairdresser cut off his bangs and I had to run out and find an affordable white wig at an honest-to-god wig shop and one-night style and weft it.

As for the poses... we just kind of goofed off and our photog snapped away. We had between 200-300 raws to go through before we narrowed it down to 150 that were usable, and then again to these here. It's really all her wonderful picture-taking that made it. We just had fun :>

And yeah, the 'body' is our photog, hence why she didn't appear in any but one of the photos ;3 We didn't actually have permission to be taking those in that parking lot and a lot of people slowed down while I was tracing her to see what was going on. She kept having to wave to prove she wasn't really dead, haha.

I've done crazy people in public places, and have people slow down. It's always super-fun!! ^_^ It's also fun when you get to wave to them and stuff.


Of course, the best ones are the ones that speed up as soon as they see you xDDDDD


And for a wig that was found at the last-minute with a one-night style that was crushed in a suitcase, it's actually pretty good :)

If you all like the umbrella ones, there's like... 10-20 more that I didn't post that I could, if you want. A lot of them are of us looking at the crime scene and adding things to the court record, and then a bunch of 'bonus' ones of us goofing off and me dancing around with the umbrella in hand. We found that in the back of our photog's car while looking for a murder weapon (I really mean impromtu!) and had no real plans for it before we saw it. It was the perfect colour and everything, so we just had to mess around a bit.

crouton: We're a little bit obnoxious like that ;3 That-boy and I are lovers IRL, so we usually have some ridiculously cute OOC photos to go with our 'serious' ones of us being silly and snuggly.

Bad Player: Yeaaaaah, I was really worried that we were gonna get reamed by mall security, hence why the blood is absent in some of the previous shots. We wanted to cram all the ones in we wanted after I put it down as fast as we could and then GTFO. Sidewalk chalk is one thing, fake blood is another, haha. And thanks about the wig. I'm glad it wasn't terrible.

It was a really long night styling it and trying to teach That-Boy and his roommate how to make wefts so I could get as many ready at once as I could. It's now being washed and restyled for my von Karma costume instead ;3

Leesers: We had a BLAST, trust me. Most of the unusable pictures were for one or both of us making ridiculous faces, laughing or goofing off. Like I told Bad Player a few posts up, we just kind of said 'okay, now some with running around' or 'let's do some with the umbrella' and started doing it. Our photog was just amazing at catching us just right. She snapped faster than and with a lot better composition ;3

As for the coffee ones, we totally had planned to do a lot more, go looking for a noodle shop/get lunch/etc but wimped out. It was miserably hot and we just wanted to grab some coffee and head home. If you can't see both my hands, I was probably the one taking the photo in the bonus shots, haha. They really were just random shots of post-shoot, semi-IC silly things. Glad you enjoyed, though :>

oh my fricking gosh XD I'm totally going to dress up as Hobohodo and force my friend to wear her Edgey cosplay and WE'RE TOTALLY GOING TO DO ONE OF THESE!

MaryVenge: DO IT, haha! Seriously, sometimes it really bugs me how people forget what cosplay's all about, which is the play! If you can't toss on a costume and have fun sometimes, is it really worth all the effort? Especially if it's already made, there's no reason not to put some mileage on it outside the cons! Finding places to explore or just having lunch IC (both of which I've done) can be really fun and makes for great photos. It's especially easy with a lot of the PW costumes, since they're usually semi-normal looking to start with and you can travel around with them without looking too conspicuous or having them be too cumbersome. Glad to be an inspiration :>

=D I totally agree! That's the fun part! I'll never forget the time me and my BFF went out for lunch cosplaying as Ryuichi and Tohma from Gravitation. And my mother was there too xD I think she was pretending she didn't know us.

Hobohodo is a good, functional costume for day-to-day use. I wear it alot just because it's cold outside.

MaryVenge: Haha, I love wearing bits and pieces of costumes. I know that when we threw That-Boy's birthday party, he wore a good bit of his Edgeworth costume (slacks, vest, shirt) as his party-garb. I've worn my Feenie sweater around a good bit too, including on my Valentine's date last year to see Diary of the Dead, haha. My date thought I looked really gay but said she didn't mind, haha.

The best IC lunch I've had was at Anime Boston when myself (Phoenix), That-Boy (Edgeworth), our Trucy, Diego and Applecat all went to the ramen shop. I have a lot of REALLY adorable photos of Diego helping Trucy get the pork out of her miso ramen (she's a vegetarian) and of me looking completely smitten sitting next to That-Boy while we ate. There's also a couple really great ones from the liquor run with our Klavier and Mia that definitely look like a rockstar party's about to happen at any minute.

Look at that Edgeworth. What a tool. >:D

Seriously, as dorky as this was, and as sweaty as I was by the end of it, and as obnoxiously overly shiny my eyebrows were, this was entirely a fun experience in hit-and-run cosplay. Seriously people, go out and make some costumed mischief sometime yourselves!

And pfff, I'm mildly embarrassed by these. In a good, humbling sort of way. We can all be a little ridiculous sometimes.

And seriously check out that epic x-box kid face I made in that one photo.

I remember you. I was the Phoenix that was with that Edgeworth (in case you didn't recognize me, which is possible, haha!)

The fake blood was home-made. Corn syrup, water, chocolate syrup and a mix of red and green food colouring. Just added more of this and that until it was a good viscosity and colour and put it down. Like I said a little further up the thread, I was nervous about putting it down, so all the pictures were taken pretty quick after we poured it and it looks super-shiny. Didn't have time to thicken in the setting sun, haha.

Hey, I remember you two. (Was FailTrucy with Mr. Hat at AB) Liking the photos, especially the frappucino shot.

Nice job on the fake blood, as well.
