Please don't kill me for the title

Hey everyone! I just realized that PortCon Maine is less than a month away!

Hopefully I can go, I really want to. This would be my first time missing it since I've been going there! As of right now it looks like I can go.

I'm either going to reuse, for my third time in a row, my HoboPhoenix cosplay or I'm attempting to get together really quickly a Canada from Axis Poweres Hetalia cosplay.

I'm not sure about meetup, I'd probably only be able to go one day [most likely saturday] But if everyone else wants to make one go ahead! If not running around and taking pictures of everyone is fun too. xD

So...is anybody else here planning on going? =]

I'm going to be going as Maya again. <3333 I just found out recently that I'd be able to go, so the quickest thing to do would be to recycle.

Actually, I was looking over the details and this may actually be a possibility for me. Of course, considering the problem of finding a place to stay, it's probably a very small possibility... I'll do my research and see what I can find.

If I could find somebody to split hotel costs with, I'll probably go... it's just that I think the pre-registration period has already ended, and I'm not sure if that means I'll be waiting for hours in line early during one of the mornings?

I think I'm gonna recycle my HoboPhoenix cosplay also [to late for Canada! Someone already bought the wig I wanted D:] Compared to last year, Portcon Maine is so close to when Anime Boston is!...was? They were only about a month apart.

I'm one step closer to coming to Portcon, I found someone who was willing to share a room (I'll have to sleep on the floor, but oh well I guess.) All that's left is to print out a copy of my Amtrak tickets and I think I should be all set... I think if things go right I'll arrive on Thursday night and leave Sunday morning.

Of course, I'll be the attorney Phoenix again :D

Haha, I suppose so. Unfortunately, it hasn't been very long since Anime Boston, and I haven't had an opportunity to improve upon my costume at all since last time- I'll still be wearing my dark blue suit, a white shirt beneath and a dark red tie. I'll be bringing along my super hair gel again, but I'm not quite sure about how well I'll be able to set my hair like his... hopefully better than last time! I can get it to stick sideways, but the top part feels impossible to do correctly :(.

I know, I'm surprised PortCon is so close to Anime Boston! I guess its just the whole how they're spaced-alternating month thing each year and this year it just happens to be right after? :/

I'm not pre-registered, but I'll be getting on the Amtrak today at 5:00 PM so I can get there by 7:00 AM and get setup for my room... Once that's done, I'll be able to get in line tomorrow at 9:00 AM for the ticket. At this point I'm not completely sure if I'll be lined up as Phoenix or if I'll get my ticket, then return, but we'll see, haha.

Hello everyone, I'm at the Portconmaine hotel (Wyndham), waiting for my taxi to the train station. I'll be making the 3 hour commute back to Boston in just a bit, so I'm just relaxing before that.

The con was good- it was my first time actually going out of my way to attend one, and I wouldn't say it was as fun as Anime Boston, but it was still entertaining :).

I was dressed as Phoenix again, and I didn't get as many "objections" (not a lot of people seemed to be familiar with Ace Attorney for that matter, haha), but there was a pretty large group of AA cosplayers (Fran, Diego, Mia, Maya, Godot, Gumshoe, Winston Payne)... but they all disappeared/switched out of costume on Saturday, so we couldn't really get any pictures whatsoever.

Nonetheless, I had some fun; I'm not sure if I'll be coming back this far out, but there's an entire year until the next one, so I'll have time to think it over :).


P.S.: There were definitely some hilarious moments, such as:

1. Playing super smash bros with Iori Yagami, Kyoraku Shunsui and Naked Snake as Phoenix Wright (I think everybody did their costumes REALLY well too, so it was pretty fun :D)

2. Being asked by Pedobear (a REALLY well-made pedobear) to defend him in court against rape allegations

3. Random hallway objections :3

Woo~ Sorry, would have replied earlier but family went on a trip to the college my sister is going to.

IT WAS FUN~ Saturday was the only day I went and I didn't see any AA cosplayers. ;_; I threw a bit of a tantrum [declaring to 'pull a Kristoph' and bash my friends head in with a grape juice bottle cuz they thought they saw an Apollo and I didn't] I did catch a glimpse of a Maya and a Dollie, so I was happy that there were more AA peeps.
I was really tired too, so I just kinda sat there. x3
