I'm making plans to attend Youmacon this October/November, and though it seems really daunting and ambitious to me, I know if I dress up as anyone aside from Daryan I'm going to end up really regretting not cosplaying him.

I'm still just planning things out but I'm super hung-up on the jacket. The Daryan cosplayers in a few pics I've seen have really amazing looking jackets and I have no idea how they did it! I'm wondering what I should use, what would be the best thing to start from, do you sew on or paint on the white stuff in the middle or what? Obviously I'm not the greatest at sewing/costume making, but I have friends who are really good at it that I might be able to commission... and if anyone else out there does commissions/makes premades I'd be open to that as well. I could probably do it myself too but I'm a huge perfectionist and that might end up hindering my ability to finish/be satisfied XD.

Anyway, suggestions for this or even just the outift in general would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance guys.

ummm
if the jacket were leather i would reccomend painting it on. if it were denim or any hing else i would say either sew it on or go somewhere that does t-shirt printing. they may e able to do a jacket, you never know.
i reckon it'd look awesome whatever you do.
