Sewing: I can do absolutely nothing :C But my mom is okay, and my grandma is fabulous. She made all my mom's clothes when my mom was in high school.

Money: Hmmm.....I really don't know. I don't know how much cosplays usually are....:C

well, the ones you find online can get pricy so it might be a good idea to try to make one of your own.

sometimes you can find similar clothing at discount stores or goodwill (you'd be surprised at the similarity sometimes) otherwise asking your mom or grandma for help making it wouldnt be too bad since they might be able to give you some ideas on where to get started. have you tried looking at te other trucy cosplay topics? those might have some good hints.

Hmm, Good luck Sho. ( are you going to make a Mr hat prop as well? XD )
Why do most people always cosplay the main char anyway?
I'd Glomp the first person who cosplayed as Charley. I said nothing

Herr Ceres: Heh, I'd make a Mr. Hat if I had time! But Halloween is only thirty days away! >_< And I've been told (by Harra Arial) that I'd be a perfect Trucy. And Trucy's a good, not-too-unrecognizable Halloween costume. People dress up as magicians, amirite?

Im not sure what your hair situation is, but if you need a wig make sure you get one ahead of time... shipping can take a while.

What I found worked well for her hat is to purchase a base (ex. a cheap black top hat) and cover it with the same material as whatever you plan on using for her cape. Along with the wig you might want to order Trucy's white go-go boots ahead of time. You might be able to find some in Walmart or the Halloween Spirit stores since it is so close to Halloween.

*faints* WHAT THAT LOOKS SO GOOD!!!! Will you sell it to me? (I'm thinking about cosplaying Trucy as well..)

On a different note, what material would be good?
(No, I am not going to go out and find blue silk)
I tried a silky looking material once (I forgot what it's called T_T) but I find them to be super duper hard to sew, and the hems fall apart at an amazing rate.

As for the patterns on the cape, should they be sewn on or ironed on?

Our Trucy's costume was made out of cotton and it looked stellar! Casa Satin would also work out well for her. You could go either way with the patterns so whatever you feel more comfortable with.

Well, my hair isn't much of a problem. I just hafta tie it up in the back and let it kinda fall in front of my face. Hm. But my bangs are on the wrong side :C NO ONE'S GONNA NOTICE, M'KAY?

Thanks for the advice, all! :3
