I'm doing Klavier for a con in April, so if I make it to AN, I'll probably just revise that.
Tips?
Bring lots of water, take extra camera batteries, don't forget to eat, (do NOT buy food at the con, though. I went to AN 07, there are plenty of cheaper places to eat just down the road,) and try not to overheat. Big cons are a lot of fun, especially if you pay attention to the schedule so you don't miss anything!

Does anyone have cosplay pics that they can post up? I wasn't using my camera there, so I've yet to see the pics, and I'd love to see any! =D I was there as Mask*DeMasque... the one who lay down on the floor as the dead victim during the 11:00 photoshoot for the crime scene. xD

I also came to the photoshoot, apparently late but better than never! I cosplayed Ron DeLite and also didn't have a camera or anyone taking pictures for me... they ran off to a different photoshoot D:

I didn't attend Anime North, but I couldn't help myself but look through the amazing photos posted in your Live Journal. <3 Everyone looks so awesome, and there was such a great variety of characters! (Is that Croik as gambler!Olga? D'awwwwww ~ and a borscht!Olga, Dessie, Alita and Kay!)
The photo of the two Gumshoe's with one looking completely ecstatic over his ramen has to be one of the most adorable things I've ever seen. xD That's such a great photo.

I also wish I had gotten some pictures ^^;; I forgot my camera, but my friend had hers, so I didn't think much of it ^^;
It was nice to actually be able to attend an actual PW/AJ shoot, every other con I bring a PW costume to, we always manage to miss the photo shoots, and then I see pictures later, and they always looked soo fun!

Unfortunately, it's very, very hard for me to manage to get to many cons. This was the first con I've been to in a long time, and while I may be able to get to FanExpo, AnimeNorth is probably the most I can manage. :/ Not only that, AN'09 was officially the only time I'll be able to wear Mask*DeMasque! I'm rather inept at sewing; MdM's green coat and red shirt were made by Blanko from cosplay.com, from whom I rented it temporarily. And while I did make the hat, mask and broaches, without the shirt and coat, it's pretty much unusable. I'm attempting to learn how to competently use a sewing machine, and if I do, I'd love to make the cosplay again myself, but who knows how that'll go. How unfortunate for me~ee. =(
