I know there's already a topic concerning this matter, but I made this topic as not to confuse anybody.

I'm planning to improve my Godot costume. There are still some things I need to make it look better. Can anybody help me? I think I have all the items needed sorted out alphabetically, and based on difficulty. I have started on Sunday, October 17th. It was completed in October 27th. As the days and progress go by, I will update this page by crossing out the things I have covered and by adding explanatory comments. When it's ready, I'll erase the entire list and replace it with photos and Youtube links when I upload them on Youtube when I get a Youtube account when my computer gets fixed. Here's the list:

Easy:
- Mug. I already have one.
- Pants. I got them at Ross.
- Shirt. We had a short conflict with the color of the shirt, but we eventually found the right one.
- Shoes. Got them at Wal-Mart. But Dad found better shoes at Kohls and returned the Wal-Mart shoes/
- Tie. I got a white pull-back tie.

Medium:
- Facial Detail. I got it at Halloween Club.
- Hair color/style. I got hair dye in the form of spray at Halloween Club. getting my hair styled like Godot was a PAIN with all the pulling and the knots in my hair and my mom not knowing the style. I had to lather, rinse, and repeat when I had to remove the dye. And, uh... I'm still considering a wig.
- Sleeve Adjusters. I got some ribbon over at Micheal's. Although... I am planning to get some elastic, still.
- Vest. I found a vest with the right pattern, but it had 2 buttons too many and didn't have the pattern, but I used it anyway. Although... I'm still planning to make an extra with the pattern.

Hard:
- Visor. I got the materials needed over at Micheal's. But I still want to make an extra with metallic-like materials and a pexiglass-like material. Anybody know what they are?
- Visor removal crisis. I got the mark covered. I used the facial paint for the beard. But I had no other choice but to abort the cosmetic contacts after hearing what happened to people who used them.

VERY HARD!!!:
- Body shape. My body shape wasn't that of a problem. However... I still plan on losing weight.
- Earrings. They're clip-ons. Got them at Sears.

I know I won't update much because... well I tend to be a procrastinator. I'm Latino and I heard that that most Latinos are procrastinators. I would really appreciate the advice from all you guys; whether you've cosplayed a lot, you've cosplayed only a few times, or you've never cosplayed at all (If you're interested in this). I'll accept it.

I've played Trials and Tribulations. I know for a fact Godot wouldn't look like that behind his visor.

- Sleeve Adjusters. I know what they are and what color to get. But I don't know where I can get them.

- OMGWTFBBQ EARRINGS!!! I know for a fact that Godot wears earrings. I want those, but I do NOT want my ears pierced! What should I do?!

Sleeve adjusters - Buy some thick black elastic ribbon (like you get in trousers) and make a band out of it, its probably cheaper and easier to get hold of.

Earings - This is a little tougher, unfortunately i dont have any links to point you in the right direction. However there is a wide variety of fake earings, from magnetic to clip on. A good fancy dress store should have just what you're looking for.

Eyes - Just look at pictures of Diego Armando. Except for a horizontal scar that goes across the bridge of his nose, he looks (from what i've seen) exactly like before.

Sorry that wasn't much help, but i hope it'll make looking for items a little easier. :edgy:

Thanks for the advice. It will surely help with my cosplay. Although, I have a few questions.

1) Where can I get those kinds of ribbons?
2) From what I've seen on Diego Armando, this is making me wonder... Should I put on contacts that make my irises look red, put those that make them look white, put those that make them look a really light blue, or keep my eyes as are? From what I've seen on a fan video on Youtube, Godot's irises were white. And on some fanarts, his irises were red. Others had his irises... I don't know what color exactly, but it looked like a really light blue. And there are those that didn't change his eye color at all.
Spoiler: Case 3-5
But, since Diego had his central nervous system affected and his eyes extremely damaged by the poison Dahlia put in his coffee, I'd say that the really light blue irises and white irises are more likely.

1) You should be able to get that ribbon from any fabric shop. Failing that, an old pair of trousers that are elasticated at the waist (although often the elastic in trousers is white so you'd need to dye it back).
2) I agree that the white/light blue contacts would work. I'd personally go for the white. It just seems more, appropriate.

Guys... I'm gonna need some help here.

My High School has a Halloween Dress-Up Day on the 29th, it's already October, I haven't lost a lot of weight yet (yes, I have dropped some pounds), and I didn't even start working on my costume! I don't want people seeing an overweight Godot at school on that day, but at the same time I feel so rushed to do the costume ASAP! Oh my god... I'm...

what...

but...

I...

when...

d'eh...

Well, if you really feel that you don't have enough time before Halloween to complete your costume, you should either
a: Get a cheap back-up costume of something or someone else,
b: Only get the bare minimum of things needed for the costume and make the difficult stuff (like the mask) out of paper or something
c: Get your act together, set some goals for certain parts of the costume to get done, and get to work to make the best darn Godot costume that you can muster!

Also, when working on a Halloween costume, you should start as soon as possible (perhaps even starting the year before!) and keep at it to avoid procrastination.
And don't worry too much about your weight. As long as you work at it in a healthy way, I'm sure that you'll be fine.

I think that helps out a lot. Thank you.

...*sighs* Guess I'm not dressin' out this year.

! Wait a minute... This is Godot Cosplay, not a Godot Costume! I don't need to use it on Halloween only... I can use it whenever I wish! It's all coming into me... YES! I WILL make the costume! Time to get to WORK!
Whoops! Got a little carried away there, heh heh. :edgy: I have already started working on it.

I apologize for the double post, BUT I HAVE AN UPDATE!

I'm sorry I haven't updated in about a month, but anyway, I'm pleased to announce that I am now finished with the Godot costume. It was copleted on October 27th. It was first worn on October 30th. (Getting my hair styled like Godot was a PAIN!) I do have photos and videos, but since my computer's still broken, I cannot post them as of now. Until then, if you saw me in the costume and took photos/filmed me while I was/wasn't aware, I would appreciate it if you put the photo(s)/video link(s) here.
