Post subject:  My Godot Costume!
Hey everyone, longtime lurker here at CR stepping out of the shadows to show off this Godot costume I put together for Shuto Con in Lansing MI this past weekend. It is definitely not perfect but it was my first time cosplaying ever at a convention and I had a blast. Tons of people recognized me and asked for pictures! As for myself I only took a couple but if I happen to find more I will post them here, and I think a friend of mine still has some on his phone so I will pester him and add those later as well (There's one he has that I really want to show off after I found a certain spiky-haired lawyer at the con :phoenix:). Well, here it is! Please let me know what you think! :D

Can you tell me more about the convention you went to? What is it about and what goes on there?

(Also, I would love to see the picture with you and the guy dressed as Phoenix!).

Shuto Con is an anime convention that's been held for the past three years here in Michigan, it's one of the closest to me (about an hour's drive). It was my first year going and I had a great time, they had a Dragon Ball Z reunion event with several of the voice actors from DBZ showing up as guests (hence the photo I got with Sean above). Along with a game room, panels on various topics and dealer room/artist alley (the usual anime con stuff). It was a blast. Tons of awesome cosplayers walking around too.

I'm still bugging my friend to get off his lazy ass and send me a few of the photos he got, haha. I'll be sure to post them the moment I get my hands on them :P

I was able to see out of the bottom red line - the red plastic is transparent enough to see through (although everything looks red, of course. :P

Funny story, the plastic I used came from chopping up a flexible water bottle I got at the dollar store.

Godot is such a fun character to play, eh? Especially with all the coffee jokes :3. One thing I would say though is that it might help you a lot (even in daily life too) to stand up just a bit straighter. It will give you that look of confidence ;). Nice job on the mask, btw!!

Looks great where was this at?

XD the second picture to me just has the caption "Stay off my lawn y'damn young attorney!" It's the hunched over expression that does it.

It was actually at the same convention from the first post, two years later! Shuto Con 2015 in Lansing, Michigan.
