Whoo, so I had a spur of the moment urge to stowaway with a friend to an anime convention. I've always wanted to go to one, but this will be the first anime convention I've ever been to. So, going to a convention, I simply must cosplay, and I think I could pull off Maya. Just a few questions concerning Maya and her hair though.


1. Bangs. My bangs are rather long, so I just tuck them back and don't even notice that I have them. For a convincing Maya cosplay, I'd probably have to cut them. However, cutting them would be rather permanent. Is there any non-wig solution to this? I do have an old "stash" of my hair I was going to save for something like a donation. Could I possibly snip a bit from the old hair and somehow attach it to my forehead without looking.... weird?

2. Those spheres. There's probably some really easy solution that I'm missing, but how do those spheres in her hair stay suspended? Do I just tie those strands off with a normal hair tie and then jam the sphere up? Tie a knot in my hair?

3. Magatama. Okay, so this really isn't about her hair, but eh, oh well. I've seen a bunch of official art for Maya, but I can't exactly tell what color her magatama is. Is it red? Orange? Brown? I suppose I could just take creative license on this.
