...I just have to figure out what conventions Texas has other than that one up in Dallas in May. (I also need to figure out whether or not I'll be able to GO to the one in Dallas in May.)

We're also going to try having a mock trial there. Kinda hard to explain how it's gonna work really, but we're gonna(hopefully) get a panel room for it. :3
I'm going to cosplay as Trucy(of course :P) and Zelda from the cd-i games~
Working on a Marth cosplay also, but I don't think it'll be done by then with how much I procrastinate..

If I hadn't already bought my A-Kon pass months ago, I would've just skipped it on and went to AnimeFest. I may do that anyway.

I've gone to A-KON the past four years, and have been to Anime Fest one time. ;D
I've never done PW cosplay at any of them but I will at Sakuracon this year. D: If I get my Mia costume nicer by this summer I may use it for A-KON.
And I have to agree. The majority of the fun at A-KON is located in the DEALERS ROOM HOLYCRAP. <3

Ones that didn't really suit my tastes and why:
GUMSHOE: Possibly, my biggest qualm was with the Gumshoe's face.
1. Gumshoe has facial hair in the form of a poorly shaved beard. You are too cleanly shaved to be Gumshoe. Your cheeks are even shiny! THAT'S NOT RIGHT!! That's... shojo-Gumshoe!*screams*
2. Also, the sports tape that Gumshoe wears (or is it a bandage? I forget. Anyway...) isn't very visible even in a front view. For future reference, gumshoe's sports tape covers the majority of his left cheek.
Other than that, s/he did an okay job (I cannot tell if it is a man or a woman playing gumshoe. Insulting if it's a guy, but flattering if it's a girl. Sorry if it WAS an insult...)

JAKE MARSHALL: Not too much to say here. Not bad at all except for one thing. I feel that there was a little too much blue in your poncho, which would need a slightly more earthy tone. Other than that, not bad when I see him in the pictures.

MAX: I don't know whether he was sweating profusely or wearing a Max Mask, but his face looked like it was made out of plastic. Other than that, I recommend a slightly brighter cloak. Brighter violets and the lining should be a lighter crimson as well.

MIA: I have no real qualms other than the scarf and the height of the skirt.
1. The scarf is too wide and poorly utilized in the pics.
2. As Pauly from One Piece would say, "You need to wear a longer skirt! What if the other men saw that!? It would distract them from their work!"

GODOT: The wig is way too long. You've crossed the line between a Godot-cut and a silver mullet. Other than that, the lines on Godot's vest aren't nearly as thick as they should be. It could be that the camera was merely too far away, though.

TRUCY: Now, your cosplay would be on my spot-on list if you weren't missing your cloak! However, this can be accountable by one of two things: you ran out of time and was forced to do without OR it wasn't in your original plans.

Closing comments: First, I have never attended a convention nor have I ever cosplayed in my life as of today's date. However, I do watch a LOT of cosplay videos. Mostly contests or unscheduled skits, that sort of thing. I see my share of stars and flops. Also, this is MY opinion! Please try not to take my word for it because I could actually be wrong! Just take what I have said, think about it, and judge for yourself whether my critique was correct or not.

Oh yes, the dealers room in A-Kon is a holy land. You can probably find whatever you're searching for, sometimes at much cheaper prices then online.
I'm still going to A-Kon as I did already buy my pass but I think I'll just buy crap, hang out for awhile and go, I don't have much money.
I AM going to AnimeFest, I plan on it =B I'd really like to room there XP The train doesn't go to reunion tower, I think (or it has to be a special occasion)
