If I didn't know better. I'd say you were Hayden Christensen in that first picture(sp?)...

Anyway... because I don't like a million different Phoenixes, etc unless they're perfect and you're currently looking for opinions...

I would say Frank Sahwit, Jake or Neil Marshall, Dr. Hotti, Furio Tigre, or Juan Corrida.

These are seldom done and therefore I like them.

I'd suggest you to check Zarla's gallery, she has really many pictures of Juan which could be a great clothes reference.

Also, you can't dress as Sahwit. You don't have the pimple~

I would say *not* Juan, based on the .2% chance that somebody will recognize you as Juan. Most players of the game only know what he looks like based on his face (and perhaps on the Jammin' Ninja costume) and it's hard to pick that up in RL. I'll freely admit that it'd be unlikely that I'd recognize many of the victims or minor characters (e.g. Bat, Celeste Inpax) in the games if somebody cosplayed them.

The other thing to consider is how you'll be making the costume. Furio'd be cool, but his clothes are fairly specific.

Also, what are you willing to do with your hair?

I'd say you go with Phoenix. He's simple enough to cosplay and if you do it right, you can get a lot of recognition. People barely recognized my GS4 Ema Skye at one convention, and she's not even that obscure of a character. Cosplaying obscure people can be fun, but it's not nearly as fulfilling at conventions where there isn't a big Phoenix Wright following. Of course, what matters most is how much you like the character because you don't want to go prancing around pretending to be someone you dislike.

Most cons have anti-horseplay regulations in place. If a Franziska should whip you, you can report her to con security and see her dragged back to Germany. :P Some cons won't even allow whips on site at all (although that didn't stop this one Franny cosplayer...).

Oh yes. If I recall, there was a video of a Juan Corrida cosplayer that was dedicated to Zarla because she was absent.
