So I went to Imin Matsuri this weekend. Very few people actually cosplayed (which doesn't surprise me too much, seeing it was more of a Japanese culture festival) but I did! ;D it was lots of fun. (even if I did have to wait an hour in line) Over the course of the weekend, five people recognized my cosplay and three took pictures.
As for the festival itself, despite the lack of cosplay, it was very interesting. There were people carrying dry-erase signs everywhere, with messages ranging from "free hugs" to "gimme a kiss" to "life is made of choices- PIKACHU I CHOOSE YOU". I improvised a little Objection sign like that :3 And, while waiting in line, I got handed a... condom. Part of an AIDS prevention campaign or something. It was especially awkward because my dad was standing right next to me @_@
Here's a picture taken by one of the people there, who then posted it to his Fotolog.
