You are right, that is in fact the Honorable Star Spirit Eldstar. I actually thought about a variety of different people capable of granting a wish, but settled on Eldstar for three reasons: 1. Hearing him say, "Let's make it happen, bitchez!" made me laugh.
2. It kept some consistency from the first Error & Trial, which also featured Paper Mario characters.
3. I downloaded a huge zip-file of PM sprites for the above reason, and that sprite was just sitting there in my folder with nothing else to do...
For the record, if it hadn't been Eldstar, it would've been Mokona from Magic Knights Rayearth.

Thank you! Yes, I was forced yet again to make custom sprites for this Error & Trial. I made Shuichi by shrinking down a manga scan of him and retracing and coloring it. I also had to draw some of Yoh's facial expressions. I was originally gonna make him a whole new sprite, but I was sooooo tired by then...
I'm glad you like it. I'll have to let everyone know that it's ready now. ^_^
