Yeah, i'd just leave it up to the police then. If they don't call back, call again. Or, if you've seen the Crocodile Dundee movies, just do what he does and get a BIGGER knife:

The situation has been partly dealt with. The cops searched the bullies house, found a gun hidden in one of their bedrooms, a knife in the other. So I'm safe for now.

No, but they can get put in jail for not abiding it. It's not so much a defense against possible aggression but more of an insurance policy.
