I love Christmas!! I love decorating the house with Christmas decorations, buying a tree from a tree farm, decorating the tree, Christmas music, opening presents... The only things that bug me are Christmas present shoppers(online shopping ftw!!), over played Christmas music on the radio, and lame rom-com movies they always play on ABCFamily. I love watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas and A Christmas Story with my family. We always quote almost the whole thing and it's just a lot of fun spending some time with them :]

This thread is full off "AAWWW" moments.

Christmas is the most powerful force we know. For me, the most astonishing and warming example of this was Christmas day, 1914. The British and German soldiers called a truce from their trenches and timidly at first ventured into no man's land to exchange gifts, food and drink and Christmas cheer. They even played football together.

Seriously!? Man, that is the pure definition of what we call "Christmas spirit".

Damn you, Justis! I was going to post that Simpsons quote!

Ah, anyway, I love this season. Mostly because I finished school last friday until March, so I love everything now. But I'll always love Christmas.

Last year's Chritmas sucked pretty bad. My brother was ill, so our relatives couldn't come.

I hope this one will be better.

Sorry if this is slightly off-topic, but I love DeMats Christmas Avvy, as I did the Speak like a pirate day one.

I like just staying at home with my brother and parents for christmas. It's nice to just have a peaceful, fun christmas.

That sucks. One of Christmas' main pillars is gathering with our families. Well, hope it doesn't happen again this year <:D

That reminds me, I'm seeing my awesome uncle, whom I haven't seen in months! AWESOME!

There's a house near me which is always done up for charity. It's sooooo bright it's ridiculous, not a centimetre wasted! But great fun. And I also have one of those roads near me on which every house is lit up. Wonderful. Although I don't know how a luminous Koi Carp is Christmassy. Each to their own.

I've just done most of my Chrissy shopping in one swoop. I feel relieved and chuffed.

Merry Chrimbo.

Ah Christmas dinner.

Starter: Prawn Cocktail, Glass of white wine, pull crackers.
Main: Put on silly hats, tell bad jokes and lose the surprise gift. Then eat the meal. Mine is always:
Roast Turkey, boiled bacon, roast potatoes, swede, parsnip, stuffing, sprouts and gravy. And a Glass of red wine.
Desert: Christmas pudding doused in brandy then set alight, then served with white sauce. Or chocolate cake.
And a glass of port.

Result? One slightly tipsy UP. God I love port.

We usually don't have a Christmas dinner, we just make a lot of food and snack on it all day.

Snowed today, made me think of Christmas.

Woah, UP, I wish my Christmas dinner was half as awesome as yours is. CAN YOU BELIEVE I NEVER EVEN TASTED TURKEY.

Aww, now I wish it snowed here... It never snows, ever. Not even in mid-Winter. God I hate Argentina's lack of snow.
It did snow, like... thrice in the last 90 years or so. Yeah, THAT sad.

I love this thread.

Regardless of what you all say, I still want my snow D:

The missing classes part doesn't work for me, since I only have 10 days of school in Winter.
But I just love snow. Even thought the last (and almost only) time it snowed here, I spent the entire day outside, and I freezed. It was amazing XD

Yay, my avatar has been married to a festive sig.

The Snow in March was incredible. I want that over Christmas.
And great news, I still have to work Boxing Day and the 27th, but I don't have to work bank holiday Monday any more. Minuscule silver lining, but it's there!

And yea, I'm lucky with my Christmas dinners. Both my parents are great cooks and pull out all the stops for the big day. I need to learn this year.

I'm having all my extended family round on the 20th too. YESSSS!

I love Christmas.
I love Christmas decorations.
I love Christmas music.
I love Christmas specials.
I love Christmas spirit.

I love how Christmas brings family together. Last year, my friend and his dad had this huge fight and didn't speak to each other for months (his parents are divorced). But then as Christmas came, they made up.

I love the Home Alone films. 1 and 2 anyway. I'm gonna have to dig them out for Christmas day and watch them again with my folks. They capture the spirit perfectly.

We stay up late on Christmas Eve in my family and open our presents at midnight, and then the next morning we watch a colorized copy of the Alastair Sim version of Scrooge (A Christmas Carol). The tree always goes up the day after Thanksgiving. I have a favorite ornament that I've been using for years; it's a clear glass globe with a shiny bit of greenish-gold tinsel inside of it. Eggnog is amazing, and snow is appreciated when it actually arrives on time. God, I love Christmas.

My best chirstmas was a few years ago in junior school. The whole school got snowed and we got a day off. Then since most of us came to school all the classes was split into two teams. Team Snow and Team Ice. We raided the PE shed and everyone who had a Ribbon / Vest on ws ice team. A 40 A-side call of duty snow ball fight.

I love Chirstmas. ~~~
