I feel the same way. I feel bad when they ask me to tell them what I want for Christmas. I didn't ask for much at all this year and I still got alot. It does make me feel a little guilty for them spending so much on me, but then again, it shows that they love me too because I know hardly anyone who would be willingly to spend that much on me. I do think some of the best gifts are the ones that are free, like making other people happy and giving them hugs. I guess I just enjoy passing the love around!!! XD

Awww, so would I! That'd be really nice. ^__^ Especially because I'm afraid to hug certain people.

Then again, if I just had a nice long hug from my girlfriend, that'd be just as good. ^^

Eh... The conditions on how I got my gifts really doesn't help things. :/

I received 3 pairs of Jeans and a multi-media stereo. Though, the stereo is something that I wanted for awhile, I can't do anything with it yet. So, it'll sit somewhere and gather dust until I can finally put it to use. I'm getting everything else that I want after Christmas along with the money that I had to give up just to pay for gifts to my Sister's family.

So... This year has been a rather crappy Christmas.

Best: My coat I'm wearing RIGHT NOW.

Pic of coat: http://www.attitude.uk.com/images/catalog/LIT162.jpg <- not a brill pic and it's from the site, it doesn't highlight the Crucifix zips. SEE? I AM OF THE SPIRIT OF XMAS!

Worst: The Might Boosh Boxset. (before you all go "WUT?" it mean I had a fab Xmas if that's the worst. Because I still love it)

EDIT: @dullahan1: Agreed. My pals asked me what I wanted and I felt really bad asking them for anything. I felt even worse when they handed out presents, this year I could only afford to give them all chocolates. And they'd been SO generous. It's nice to know some people care though.

And the best gifts are indeed free. =D

Worst: Either a pink princess ornament with my name engraved (Seriously, they're made for three-year-olds...) or a whole bunch of pink clothes 20 sizes too small for me. Both from my grandmother, who knows that I'm quazzi-emo and that pink burns my eyes.

Best: iPod Touch. Squee! I named him Andrew.
Pairings: Miego, FeenRis, EdgeyFran, KlavEma, CloTi, Zerith, Vincrecia.
Just a note, all: I haven't been on in a while, so I'm trying to get my little persona here back in order. I won't be on as much in the future, maybe a few times a week. Sorry!

Worst = Ten bucks and the Yu Yu Hakusho Dark Tournament game. *looks around* What, the game was not only used, it was terrible!!!! GAH! Man that game sucks! The worst part is Yu Yu Hakusho is my favorite Anime!

Best = St. Louis Cardinals Baseball cards of So Taguchi and Jeff Weaver, mint condition and rare.

I know what you're thinking, why do you consider Baseball cards more valuable then electronics?

These two are my favorite players of all time, just having their cards feels like holding a million dollars in my hand.

Yeah,I really don't want a million bucks (mainly cause it'd most likely be won in some sort of contest, but in all honesty I want to gain my money)
But you get the idea......

worst thing? a loofah, and body oils. yeah... *looks at Jean Armstrong in sig* sorry dude, I really don't like various smelling oils, in fact, I hate smells altogether, except some food smells, and even then frying foods is nauseating. Always been a tomboy and I refuse to use these things, and ok, I appreciate the thought, I suppose, but it was my FATHER who gave them to me, in another attempt to make me more "feminine" again... he does it all the time (buys me makeup, stockings, lotions, etc, even though he KNOWS I'll never use them and wouldn't be caught dead with nail polish or crap on my face). It wasn't so much of him thinking about me as it was him trying to sneak female junk into my life again, with the hopes I'll return home in a long dress and my face painted up. yeah right.

I wouldn't say so.

To be honest though, there has never been a Christmas for me that I was not graced with my "#1 top priority present". This is usually due to the fact that I never really ask for anything other than one thing, such as a Playstation or a 360, despite how this is usually the only occasion par birthday that I actually ask for something (and I am always approached, I never tell them first). I am usually rather surprised to find not only that present, but much, much more under my tree. Sometimes I wake up and I find huge wads of cash taped to my body! One Christmas I went into the shower and was amazed to find that Gatorade rained down upon me instead of water!

My father even once sacrificed a virgin for my very own ritual! So basically, what I'm getting at here is that IT SURE IS AWESOME HAVING THIS 360 OH MAN

The worst gifts I've ever received...
A Sega Game Gear when I specifically asked for a Nintendo Game Boy.
A Sony Playstation when I specifically asked for a Nintendo 64 (though the offending party made up for it later that season).

The worst gifts I've received this season...
A white polo shirt. It's just not my style.

Can't complain about the nice, soft lounge pants, though, or the fleece blanket. Love them.

Hey, wouldn't complain about the PS o.o;;

I know your pain though, I begged for N64 for YEARS, I even saved up enough to buy one (and I was 6-8 at the time, and to save up $125 was a bigass deal for me then XD) but I wasn't allowed to buy it with my own money.

Then on my birthday one year, instead of getting a shiny new N64, I got my step-brothers old SNES instead after he got an N64 for christmas.

Oh that reminds me of the time my grandma (the dead smoker) screwed up the names on gifts. I had been dying for a portable CD player of my own (and now, from going into homicidal/hysterical mode when I forget/had my ipod almost stolen, one can see how I NEED some musical player at all times), I was probably in kindergarten then I beleive... I opened my present and lo-and-behold shiny shiny CD player. I was spazzing for joy. My step brother was opening the present he got, and it was a giant cassette tape holder. Yeah my grandma said she put the wrong nametag on our gifts, and took the CD player from me and gave it to my step brother, and then gave me the dumb cassette tape holder. Needless to say when I got back to my house, I cried like a damn baby. You don't do that to little kids, ever. I was her only biological grandkid anyway, why'd she give her step grandson (whos barely older then I am) something nice and me shit boggles me. Oh well, I dont have to mess with them anymore so they can all burn or something. Or die from nuclear fall-out :lana:

Yeah loads of bad memories from christmas at my dads, though it was my dad that got me my first gameboy, and finally an N64.

Another time was my grandpa and my step-grandma giving me a BOYS SHIRT for christmas. They gave me clothes and gave my step brother/step sister toys.

Also last time I went to my dads for christmas, I was 13 and I got a stupid cheap movie that I would've liked when I was 3 =P

Only other time I can remember I didn't like was when my step brother tricked me and told me I could open a present now, he and my step-sister went to open one but didn't. I didn't pay attention and ended up opening one of mine. My step-mom got pissed at me and wouldn't let me open another that night and I made my dad take me the hell home when she let them open more presents. That was the only time he acctually got me out of their when I didn't want to be there.

Gah I fucking hate them all :edgeworth:

And it's not selfless, it's free.

My iMac was paid by my mom's tax return this year xD Though my HP was dying and it pissed my mom off, so I got mes a Mac <3 Though I forbid my mom from touching the Mac, seeing how she has found ways to make our old computers blow up, and then she waits like over a year before taking them to get fixed (least in the case of the 95), then it took another year for her slow friend to fix it =P So yeah, she got a fancy (though crap, its Dell XP) laptop from work for free about the same time, so she only touches that anyway (it kills my ipod when I plug it up in there, so I dont even touch it XD)

I know what you mean though, but I've been spoiled for all eternity, I got pretty much whatever I wanted for a very long time (my grandma said she'd get me alot of stuff due to what happened with my dad, and my mom used to have a bad spending habit and we'd get new crap all the freakin time (though more of what she wanted, but still I got a helluva lot more then I should have)). I also am the only child, and was the only grandchild for 8 years (and what long years they were XP stupidass cunt head father...) My grandparents have bought/paid for most of my stuff, pretty much all my clothes (what I didnt buy myself, my mom hasnt bought me much in the way of clothes till recent years), etc. Without my grandparents, we'd be living in a cardboard box, or still stuck in those ghetto apartments =P Now, I'd probably go with the box.

It took a lonnggg time before the concept of "wasting money", saving for stuff, and not spending every dime I had on useless junk set in my brain (and now its like, stuck o.o;; I like never wanna splurge anymore, though when I do, I spend waaaaay too much :lana: )

I had to go cold turkey on alot of things, which made the transition even harder XP Thanks to my stupidass brat cousin... Bah, shes not worth the pain XP

Anyway, its just another one of those "learn as you age" deals for me, but I know where you're coming from, though it feels totally different from me. I'm too used to getting things. I now prefer to buy my own things, and it makes me sick sometimes when I find something I would kill for but have no money, though I dare not ask for anything for fear of getting smote or yelled at :larry: I'm too scared of asking for anything now. I really don't want to anyway, I don't need any more then I can afford, cuz I have too much shit as it is. Its unlimited. When we moved we got rid of TONS (literally) of crap, threw away so much junk... and still have too much X_X Its driving me insane

Whoa OT-ness :yogi: There needs to be some buzzer or something that sends an electric shock thru the keyboard when you get way too off topic on forums.

wut
not all of us are rich silly person
I got something that I wanted for a long time this Christmas. Sadly, I can't use it. I didn't even ask for it for Christmas, so it was a surprise. Otherwise, I got nothing that I asked for. Though it's a bit aggravating, the conditions about why I didn't get much make up for it. Plus, I can always get it later in February when I bring home awesometastic grades this semester. :D

I wanted:

- A DS Lite with a couple of games.
- Two hoodies.
- A couple of CDs.
- Much needed clothes (aside from the jeans that I actually got, but didn't need.)
- and a few other things

oh well
I'm just happy that I got the stereo. I can always save up for things that I can buy myself, like the games and CDs.
