(I get the feeling that you knew the trick but our interpretation of the syntax slightly differed.)

D'aww...I must have miscalculated. One moment...
Nope, I'm still getting 27. But then again it might take an extra foot to pull itself out of the hole, so...28 days?

@justis76:

Well he climbs at a rate of a foot a day but peaks at 2 feet above this before he sleeps. After 26 days it'll be 26 feet up but would have been 28 feet before it slept. The next day (27) it'll be 27 feet up but would have been 29 feet before it slept. The next day (28) it'll be 28 feet up... But only not: it would have been 30 feet up before it slept and thus out of the whole. So the answer is 28 days.

You must cross a square moat 10 feet across, however you only have footbridges 9.5 feet long. How can you get to the other side of the moat? (You have absolutely no supplies except for the bridges.) I have also edited alligators into the water.

What do you mean by "footbridges"? You mean like a portable footbridge 9.5 feet long? Is it essentially a plank on legs? And you use the plural form, so you have more than one?

If there's more than one, and depending on the shape, you could just use two in a row. If you only have one, also depending on the shape, you could use it like a raft. Depending on how exactly it's put together (i.e. how easy it is to take apart) you could split it in half lengthways, put the two halves end to end and get a bridge 19 feet long

Pretty much a plank.

And nope, that doesn't work. You have ONLY the footbridges, meaning you can't take them apart, or fasten them together. And using two in a row without tying them together or something will cause the one on the bottom to fall down... which will cause the other one to fall down, too.

Since there's water, does that mean it'll float? Just toss ti in the water, walk over it for 9.5 ft, then jump the extra 0.5.

The laws of physics say that won't work. (If you are on one end of a board that is floating in the water, and walk forward, the plank will move backwards to keep you in the same spot. Also, since it's so long, it would probably tip over if you stood at one end.)

Regarding the moat puzzle,
Spoiler:
I believe that you could just walk around the moat considering it is a square. Therefore, you wouldn't even need the bridge.

Ok, maybe this would work: Put the bridge down on the water, then as you take a step onto it, push off the ground behind you so it goes forward a bit (about half a foot, maybe!).

No, when you walk forward, the plank will move back to the original end of the moat. And it would probably tip over, because of how long it is, when you are at the end.

Here is a riddle

A man is sitting in a pub feeling rather poor. He sees the man next to him pull a wad of £50 notes out of his wallet.
He turns to the rich man and says to him,
"I have an amazing talent; I know almost every song that has ever existed."
The rich man laughs.
The poor man says, "I am willing to bet you all the money you have in your wallet that I can sing a genuine song with a lady's name of your choice in it."
The rich man laughs again and says, "OK, how about my daughter's name, Joanna Armstrong-Miller?"
The rich man goes home poor. The poor man goes home rich.

What song did he sing?

And here is a RIDICULOUSLY HARD ONE

When is the word footstool a palindrome

Spoiler: #1 The Song
Happy Birthday To you... Happy Birthday to you...

Morse code. Took me forever to catch the translation trick. I would like add though, that given this puzzle about 60 years ago, it would have been quite easier. (WWII)

Soley a mix of 'yes' and 'no' fufilling you pardoxtrial question.
I can say no, but by doing so, means I did deny the question..
I can say yes, and my face valued answer will deny it, but by sying yes, and by meaning no, then I just accepted the question, not denying it.
So "I can't" seems the only logical conclusion, No?

If you say "I can't", it means you won't deny it, because technically in this case "can't" and "won't" are the same (people won't do something they can't do, no?). Now, if you answer by saying "I won't", it really can be abbreviated to "No."

Technically, it's impossible to give any kind of answer. You can't even say "That's impossible.", because by saying that, it means you won't deny it because you just said it's impossible to do so. So "That's impossible." means "No." :goodman:

If I were to say I wont, then that would just mean that I will not answer the question, and will not give a yes or no, which I guess would work...

won't is by will,
can't is by a limit or handicap

Here's some riddles that seem obvious but you need to think a bit...

1. What do Cows drink?

2. A Rooster lays an egg on the top of a mountain which side will it roll left or right?

3. An Electric train is heading north, which way will the smoke be going?

4. What do you put in a toaster?

Ok they're easy but here's 2 hard ones to make up for it...

5. A Judge is going to give a judgement to a guilty man, but before he sent him to prison he said,
"You may have one last statement. If it is true, I will sentence you to four years in prison. If it is false, then you will have 6 years in prison. What have you got to say?"
The Criminal said something, but after saying this, the judge sent him free. What did the criminal say?

6. How did Mark legally marry three women in Michigan, without divorcing any of them, becoming legally separated, or any of them dying?

Have fun~

Spoiler: 1-3
1. I could see 2 answers
a. She was a suicide bomber who walked into a building and detonated the bomb and herself
b. She had recreated a 'Holocaust'-like situation with multiple genocide, and was gunned down
Both of which entail that you cannot put a dead person in jail
2. wholesome
3. Your Breath, a music note, a scream, a glare, etc.

What four lettered word can you take away 3 letters, and the single letter still have the same meaning as the four-lettered word?

What four lettered sport starts with a 't'? (May be unfair since it's typed.)
