I'm thankful that my chemistry midterm was really easy-- I was done in 20 minutes. I had been worried that I didn't study enough, but I think I'm fine now.

If only physics would go as well tomorrow...

So, today's more or less the 4th anniversary of the lowest point in my life in which I seriously, honestly was about to commit suicide. And it actually went well; I actually understood my physics class, I got the parts of my homework that I could make heads or tails of done, I had the house to myself long enough to do other productive things for once... To top it all off, so far, this is the first time I have not angsted or otherwise come close to wanting to kill myself (or anyone else *cough*) at this particular time of year since four years ago. I feel proud of myself.

I'M 9MAYASATO9 AND I'M FINE!!!! (really!)
So I finally grew a brain and remembered to give myself a signature... Whoopee.

This is going to sound really cheesy....but oh well.

I would have to say joining the Court Record and Toho Kingdom Forums pretty much made my life a bit brighter. I've met some wonderful people and I've been talking about subjects and make me actually want to think and get passionate about the things I love. The forums have made me way happier than I've been in a while now, and I'm proud to say I'm a member of both.

Two of the cats I often see at the shelter were adopted recently. I'm glad they found homes. One of them was a beautiful black cat who was perfectly willing come up to you and let you pet her when she was in the mood, and also loved to play. She even curled up on my lap a few times. She had a chronic illness that required a special diet, though, so that made a lot of potential vassals unwilling to swear fealty to her. The other was black and white. She was also quite beautiful and playful, but she was so shy that during the many times I visited her, she never let me pet her. I'm glad people were willing to swear fealty to them despite their flaws. Those who seek only perfection are unlikely to ever be satisfied.

My girlfriend wants to adopt Cats from a shelter when we do. Her oldest Cat who passed away last year was from a shelter and he was like a brother to her. She has a point when she says there's plenty of Cats out there but there's many who need a home already.

XP Then I'm conflicted because I'd really like a young cat that starts as a kitten and I know that's probably unlikely at a shelter.

This time of year, kittens are pretty rare, but we still get them every now and then. They're much more common from summer to fall. Kitten season starts earlier than that, but most of the kittens we get are so young and frail that they need special attention before it's safe to put them up for adoption. Personally, I prefer adult cats; they tend to have more developed personalities. My favorite cat at the shelter is a very sweet and mellow eleven-year-old.

Had the scare of my life today... A friend of mine who I learned had a tumor a while back hadn't been responding to my texts for a few months. I thought she might have just been busy with school (as the replies stopped around the time she was supposed to start college), so I didn't question it. Yesterday, I texted her about something I knew she'd at least turn her head for, hoping she'd reply later in the day if not immediately, but she didn't. Today, I checked Facebook and found she'd deleted her profile. I, not having any of her other contact information, about had a heart attack, thinking the worst may have happened and I went uninformed, especially since one short month after I learned about her tumor, one of my cousins rather abruptly died of cancer. The fact that my friend had already gotten medicine did nothing to appease me; I had never thought to ask what the medicine was, so for all I knew, she could have simply gotten morphine (as my cousin had in her last days) and been on her deathbed the entire time. So I texted a mutual friend of ours. He replied he had no idea and I panicked further... until he texted me back saying he'd spoken to her a few weeks ago.

On the one hand, I'm extremely relieved. On the other, I kind of want to strangle my friend for giving me a heart attack xDDD Nevertheless, I'm thankful that my pessimism was pessimism and little more! Goes to show me I should talk to my friends more often :payne:
So I finally grew a brain and remembered to give myself a signature... Whoopee.

I'm thankful for the several things that have been happening in my life so far. I really couldn't ask for a better life and I wouldn't change a thing about it. Besides, I'm really glad that I'm healthy, that my family is healthy and that everyone is happy, I don't want more.

Oh, and then there's anime/manga.

I'm thankful that I got the opportunity to go to Australia and see my relatives who I haven't seen in years. I was able to get to know them and spend time with them. It's a shame plane tickets are so expensive, but I'm going to go back for sure. :)

I'm thankful of the fact that I've been able to get out more often lately. For the past few years the only times I ever got outside the house were when I went to school and when I went shopping. I felt like I was a prisoner in my own home. Now I've been able to get out and do more. This includes going swimming, going to an amusement park, and going to a seafood restaurant for the first time in over 2 years. I'm planning to do more once summer starts, and maybe, just maybe, I might be able to take a trip to Florida once the weather gets cold again.

I'm going to try to avoid getting political here, but I (or someone responding) might fail to do so, so there's your warning.

I'm really thankful for the peace and order I've been able to benefit from. I doubt things will ever be perfect, and a lot of people screw up their efforts to keep the peace and maintain order (others attempt to disrupt one or both). Still, it says a lot that I can go out in my neighborhood unarmed and not have to worry about being mugged, kidnapped, murdered, or what have you. When you don't have to fear for your life, well-being, and property, a lot of doors are open to you that are closed to far too many other people.

...I am going to be really ticked off if a really heinous crime is committed in my neighborhood shortly after I post this.

I want to say, that I'm very, very thankful that a friend of mine since 4th grade is still living today.

To elaborate, I first met my friend in 4th grade. He had and still has a severe case of muscular dystrophy. He wasn't expected to even make it to high school, let alone graduate. He has been fighting it on and off, has been consistently in the hospital, flirting with death. There was, and still is, no cure for it either. All this disease does is eat away at your muscles until you die. Very rapidly I might add. Though he still isn't cured, I'm happy to say that he's alive, in great shape, has graduated high school and college, and is living healthily as a 26 year old man. He's the toughest, most positive guy I know, and though he needs to be taken care of hand and foot, I can even say compared to a few years ago when I really thought he was going to die, he's even healthier today than he was then.

At this point, I want to say, whether you believe there's a God or not, the fact that he's alive today is nothing short of a miracle. I think a lot of contributes to all the prayer he has gotten to make it this far as well as his positive attitude. Though science has come a long way to help fight this cause, there's still no cure right now. I hope that we as people will come along eventually to find a cure, but I believe that something out there is what is allowing him to live today, and yeah, I believe it's God that's helped keep him alive thus far as well as his strong will to live. All the odds were against him, he wasn't even supposed to make it to adulthood.

I'm very, very thankful and happy that my friend is still alive and well to this day and I'm glad he was able to prove the doctors wrong. I still pray for him everyday, for him to be completely healed, and I believe it will happen someday. Whether through yet another miracle or through the use of our modern day technology, I believe he will pull through. And even if he doesn't, he is still a testament to this day that miracles are still possible in today's world. His dream is to be able to walk, run, and swim, something we take for granted. I want nothing more to see his dream come true.

I'm still so amazed when I see people like him, having to live in a constant hell everyday with what they have to go through, never giving up on life and forcing such a positive attitude, putting others before themselves. He's an inspiration to me too. It makes all my complaints feel so small and it makes me want to try harder as a human being to put other's needs before my own and make a positive difference unto others like he has done. I'm really thankful to have a friend like him.
On April 3, 2016, Court Records Forums experienced a miracle upon that day.

That's wonderful news :) I remember an old friend who had a condition in his eyes that looked like he was going to go blind inevitably but he's still managing to see well enough years later so it's always good when such horrible conditions are pushed away even if only for a while.

Still good for you and your friend, there's numerous studies that show how prayer power can help those dealing with illness. It's thought that the positive attitude and support (which is also correlated with helping with illness) of friends and family brought about by prayer contributes substantially.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend but it's great that he's doing fine :kristoph:

You thought you could be safe in your courts, with your laws and attorneys to protect you. In this world only I am law, my word is fact, my power is absolute.
