Listen up, duders, I need you to suggest me some DS games. Please state their titles and also why you're suggesting them.

Spoiler: Also,
Don't bother suggesting any of the following's games:
>Kirby
>Mega Man
>Golden Sun
>Shu Takumi
>Professor Layton
>Cing
>Okamiden
>Pokemon
>999
>Time Hollow
as I already have/beat them.

If it's music/rhythm action you're into, there's the Ouendan/Elite Beat Agents series, and the "Rhythm" series. The former is based more around story and is somewhat harder, while the latter is more...WTF is going on here and is easier. Both have great music. The difference is that the Rhythm series has original music. The Ouendan/EBA games are just covers of popular hits. Both sides of the spectrum, there.

Look em' up. I highly recommend them both.

Also, there's the classics like Mario/Zelda/Metroid handheld titles. You can't go wrong with those. Any are great.

As a guy who didn't like RPG's at all before playng this gem, I'd say that The World Ends With You should get a mention. It's amazing. I'm just going to say it now, the story is great, and if you haven't played it, you owe it to yourself as a fan of games that have great stories. It's like a modern RPG, with items being "threads", attacks being "pins" that you wear, and a huuuge story thrown into the mix of the battles you fight. The game is just amazing. One of the best DS games I've ever played. After replaying it recently, I'm just mindblown at how great it can be!

*Tries to think what I've played and enjoyed that isn't on your list*

Tunguska Secret Files is pretty good. It's slightly frustrating because of how much you need a walkthrough, but the story is quite good, so I'd say it's worth a play. I'm currently working my way through the second one, which is pretty good too.

I second the recommendation Prof Yoshi made about Elite Beat Agents. It's just a funny, addictive game. I still haven't done te very last song...it gets hard!. :bellboy:

It's just... fun. It's a New Super Mario Bros. kind of game (dunno what you'd call them). It's great, you kill the baddies to get your puzzle meter up, then you go into the puzzle (it's an easy colour matching game) and get your power meter up. When your power meter is full you can get a super power up and he puts on his robot suit and blah blah blah. I've managed to make it sound boring as fuck but it's really not.

It doesn't make much use of the touch screen though, you use the buttons for most of it.

I'm not really that into playing games (lol) so I find it quite difficult, been playing it for ages.

Ugh EBA is so boring. Rhythm Paradise is good though, I need to dig out my copy.

Rhythm games aren't really my thing.

I played through Jake Hunter before, and it was utter shit. I don't think I want to play that again.

I think I tried Tunguska before, not sure...

Surprisingly, Henry Hatsworth has gotten a lot of praise. Maybe I'll check it out.

i haven't actually played it, only watched a couple cases, but i think the "smoke to get hints" thing is hilarious along with the awful background music decisions

Limiting myself to stuff I've played, and excluding the games you mentioned:

If by "Mega Man" you meant the ZX games, then Castlevania will be right up your alley.

If you meant Star Force, Radiant Historia is a solid JRPG, though turn-based and not action-based like SF. Ditto Chrono Trigger if you never played it. For a much more actiony JRPG, The World Ends With You has a very fast-paced and interesting battle system and a pretty strong story and setting to boot.

Also, play the ZX games (and the Zero Collection) if you meant SF, and SF1 and 3 if you meant ZX. 2 does not exist. Heck, 1 isn't that fantastic either, but it sets up the story.

If you meant both, well, all the better.

If you're into turn-based strategy at all, both the Advance Wars games for the DS (Dual Strike and Days of Ruin (Dark Conflict if you're in the EU)) are excellent. Regrettably, the same can't be said of the Fire Emblem game.

If you want something completely different, the two Trauma Center games on the DS will fit that role quite nicely. I guess the closest in genre you could get would be "action-puzzler", since "simulation" implies being slow-paced.

Okay, I think that's enough for the moment. Hopefully a few of those tickle your fancy.

Like classic games? Namco Museum DS and Konami Classics Series: Arcade Hits will interest you.

There is another mini compilation series called Game & Watch Collection , but you need 800 Club Nintendo points (Got Club Nintendo account?) to acquire this exclusive copy.

Oh, yeah, I forgot to list Castlevania, too.

Maybe I'll give AW another shot. I tried one once, but it didn't click with me. Played the FE game, too, and normally I love them. But, well... you know.

I needed to go to a trauma centre after playing that game. Holy damn is it difficult.

Trauma Center.

You haven't played your DS until you've played Trauma Center.

... and EBA, but it's already been suggested. Radiant Historia is also a must have.

I tried the first TC, and it was impossible. Which do you recommend?

Re: Trauma Center - I got to this one stage where I had to do so much in 5 minutes and I almost threw my DS at the wall so I sold the game. Pain in the fucking arse it was. I enjoy games that are difficult but not that are so difficult I would only beat it after years of practice. Could be halfway through a real medical degree in that time..

Cool. If you get it, you'll have to let me know what you thought of it. No doubt you'd finish it while I'm still trying to beat it OTL

If you like puzzle games, some of the Sherlock Holmes ones are good. The best that I've found was "Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery of the Osbourne House".

'Look, Watson! A kleptomaniac mouse!!' - I kid you not, this is a real quote from the game.

(I was going to say Okamiden. Do you like it~~?)

I'd actually prefer to play I Wanna Be The Guy to Trauma Centre. At least then I know they tried to make it impossible. Plus, you get fired from being a doctor if you mess up. I can't handle that!!

I might check out Radiant Historia, though, since people seem to like it a lot.

Sherlock, y'say? He's a pretty cool bloke. Also I haven't started Okamiden yet. I like having it, though.

The. World. Ends. With. You.

BUY IT. NOW. Seriously, this game *quotes ONM* 'oozes style'. I can't put it better, really. The characters are typically quirky in their unique ways, and the off the wall storlyine will have you glued to your DS. A great purchase, and also, if you are a collection nut, there are pins galore to collect afterwards. A real challenge even I haven't done after 2 years of owning this game ^^

It's a sort of adventure/combat sort of game heavily based on a storyline. You'll love it. I've never really heard anyone say a bad thing about it.

Yes, yes, yes! I agree 100%! The World Ends With You is quite possibly the best standalone DS game out there. Great music, great gameplay, and even better characters/storyline.

The game is such a joy. The only thing I will say is don't EVER trade in your "pig pins". You can't ever get them back unless you restart your file. I learned that the hard way... :Kristoph-hair:

Mmmgphhh...! Just don't trade/sell 'em. You'll thank me in the long run. I cannot ever get 100% pin mastery. All 'cause I sold a couple of pig pins. :sawit-bald:

My brother beat it, though, and that's good enough for me.

aw well...it is a really good game to me, though :D

You could always try Yoshi's island. It's a neat throwback to the original games, and perhaps a bit of an easy play but fun nevertheless.

Do you like importing games? Because if so.... DRAGON BALL Z: ULTIMATE BŪTOUDEN!!! It's got characters from early DBZ to the end of GT! It's not like any other rubbish fighting game for the DS! Move combos are unique, making it fun and interesting! Only problems are no mid-battle transformations, slight decrease in FPS in Burst Mode, and no localization in sight.
Not a fan of DBZ? No problem, try... Kingdom Hearts: 365/2 days! It's great! It's awesome! It... totally blows. Don't get it. Ever.
