I hope there will be a sequel.

As much I and everyone else would love to see a sequel, I'm not sure it'll be happening in the near future, especially with Smash Bros. 4 (heck yes!) development underway and Sakurai already saying it won't happen, it doesn't seem likely.

Negativity aside, Kid Icarus Uprising (before Fire Emblem Awakening, of course) was probably my favorite game on the 3DS.

The controls, strange as they might've been, actually worked for the kind of game it was. I loved the Saturday Morning-ish dialogue, especially when it made jokes about other game series (Komaytos = Metroids; one level which looked like Donkey Kong).

Spoiler:
Also Hades was hilarious! Did anyone hear his end credits speech by the way? Hopefully he's wrong and we won't have to wait another 25 years for a sequel.

I loved the dialogue as well...I thought it was hilarious when everyone no matter which side they were on would just talk over tea.

*sigh* This blows, Uprising put me on one of the best adventures ever but there were plot holes.

And now I am being reminded of when I was 13 and playing Brawl for the first time and having a crush on Pit. (He was also one of the characters I used the most.)

I had recently gotten a 3DS (as I want to get AA5 and Pokemon X and Y), but I had no 3DS titles. I then remembered how I really wanted to try out Kid Icarus: Uprising, but couldn't, because I didn't have the correct system.

I am so glad I remembered I wanted to get that.

I bought it two weeks ago, during Spring Break, and my break flew out of the proverbial window. It was absolutely fantastic. The controls were a bit iffy, but once you got used to them, you were fine. The story is fantastic. There wasn't a chapter without some kind of dramatic event or twist. The dialogue was hysterical, mostly because the fourth wall does not exist. The areas were beautiful; I loved each place, and every area felt different from the last one.

Gah, I could go on for hours about this game. Although, there is one thing that bothers me that only got glossed over in the game...

Why can't Pit fly on his own?
...What is this "normal" you speak of? It sounds dangerous.

I'm glad you love the game as much I do!

Also about Pit's wings burning up, it's based on a Greek myth about a young boy named Icarus who had artificial wings. He flew too close to the sun and the glue that held his wings together melted and he fell into the ocean and drowned.

Yes, yes, I know the tale of Icarus (Nothing gets past a mythology nut!). But...that's only with the power of flight granted by the gods. If Pit goes for too long with the power of flight, that's when his wings burn up. But why can't he fly without the power of the gods?

(I love Greek Mythology as well.) Paluntena IS a goddess though.

Well, yes, but I don't think you're seeing my point.

Pit cannot fly without Palutena's (or Viridi's) help. He is a flightless angel--but why? The only thing the game gives us on this is a randomly-triggered conversation, in which Palutena reveals that Pit's wings "don't work right." What does she mean by that is what I'm asking. What do you guys think?

I don't know, that always stumped me as well. That is why I am in need of a sequel.
