Classic. I love this series to death. I haven't been terribly impressed with any game since Save the Homeland, but Magical Melody was pretty good. Reminded me a bit of the good 'ol HM64 days. But without all the typos.

So! Anybody else here enjoy this lovely little game? Which one was the first one you ever played? Favorite game? Favorite bachelorette? Larry

I am in love with Harvest Moon. I have been sence the first one on SNES (The 64 version is the best). And Rune Factory: A new Harvest Moon is my most wanted DS game right now.

I've played it on the Gameboy Advance via emulator, and that's it. I've been dying to get any of the 3D games though, probably Magical Melody.

I have always loved this series. My favorites are the PS1 and GBA titles, but I have yet to play it for the DS, which I really want to. I also liked the SNES version quite a lot. The GBA/GBC ones were pretty good, too.

I did not like any of the ones on the PS2 or Gamecube. They were a different format and I really did not enjoy it as much. I like the bird's-eye, 9-seeds-in-a-pack versions.

Magical Melody, the latest 3D game, has the bird's eye view thing. You should check it out.

I love the Harvest Moon series. The first game I played was the original SNES version. Loved it to death. Then got the N64 version. Loved that one too. Back to Nature on PS1 is my favorite Harvest Moon by far, with the N64 version close behind. I also played the GBC, GBA, PS2, and GC versions. Not incredibly fond of them. And I may be the only one, but I REALLY didn't like the DS version. Might just be me. >.>
If anyone intends to join Gamefly, please do so via this link. I would appreciate it greatly. It would help me to get a free Wii. :)

There were so many things to do in order to get one damn thing done. The farm doesn't come with a lumber shed, you have to pay to have one built. Which requires you to go and chop up a hundred-some-odd pieces of wood, which you have to carry around because you don't have a lumber shed. Then you have to earn money to pay for that, when you should probably be building a barn. To me, it's taking the fun out of the chores it's supposed to be emulating and makes them into just that- chores.

The dating scene isn't much better. Girls are picky and if you want to marry the Harvest Goddess or Witch Princess, there are so many trials you have to go through.

Also, the complete lack on innovation for the touch screen. There would be sooo many cool things you could do with it: cut grass with a quick slash of the stylus, water and pick crops, ect. But it's been reduced to a mere point-and-click menu. Actually, there's an option that lets you set items to buttons so you don't need to go anywhere near the touch screen.

It just fell far, far short of my expectations.

So it was basically a port of "Friends of Mineral Town" with some so-called "touch screen updates". Eh? How lame.

I love Harvest Moon, I've moved from Wild ARMs to Harvest Moon as being my fandom (flavor of the month)~ <3.

Right now I'm playing through HM64 again, going for that damned party picture (and as many other pics as I can get). Though I JUST missed getting Karen's picture. JUST missed it. So I'm kinda pissed at it right now.

The 64 version wasn't bad. But I pissed off nearly EVERYONE except Karen.

I just got Harvest Moon: Magical Melody. Oh myself- it's awesome!

It's probably the first time I've really played a Harvest Moon game (as messing around for twenty minutes on a GBA emulator doesn't count), and I've been loving it.

It took me a few in-game-days to get my groove, but so far, I've had a little garden I've been growing, but spending most of my time mining. Once I have the money, I'll probably expand to either soil-based things or a barn.

I played the first one as a rom for SNES... I initially thought how a farming game could be fun?... Well I had fun with it and was hooked...

I have HM: Wonderful Life for Cube, looking for Magic Melodies, Friends of Mineral Town for GBA, waiting for Harvest Moon DS and even more so for Harvest Moon Wii... There is something addicting in this series.

Hmmm? Not asking about the favorite Bachelors? I have AWL, AnWL, FoMT, MFoMT, DS, MM and I'm awaiting RF.

Favorite Bachelorettes:

Ann (Both Anns. They make me laugh)
Lyla (It's funny when she starts going off about wanting someone to sweep her off her feet.)
Lumina (She's nice.)

Favorite Bachelors:

Marlin (He's actually really sweet.)
Gustafa (He's awesome.)
Kai (Yaaay!)
Cliff (Awwww...)
Basil :pearl:
