Assassins Creed for those who don't know about it, is a historical action game where you play as an assassin in different time periods (Rennaissance Italy, Golden Age of Piracy, etc). This is a thread for discussion

Today, Assassins Creed Unity was announced for next gen consoles, and is set in French Revolution era Paris.

Well now, I wouldn't say that. Those threads are all pretty old though, so no worries.


I used to really like the series. The first game set the standard, ACII improved it immensely, and Brotherhood introduced enough new mechanics and story twists to keep things interesting. After that though, the series has dipped to a point that I really don't care for anymore. Revelations was convoluted in trying to link the assassins together and the story started becoming a twisted mess. ACIII didn't change up anything significant and the story became boring. ACIV was better, but it plays more like a pirate game with the Assassin's Creed name slapped on it than anything substantial for the series proper. If it didn't have the Abstergo segments, I'd swear it was a different series altogether.
