So in anticipation of new PC games coming out, I'm going to upgrade my PC. In particular, I have my sights set on Project CARS, a racing sim coming out March 2015. What I'm looking for is a GPU and CPU that fits the recommended requirement for CARS.



Allow me to post my current specs:
Windows 8 64 bit
8 Gb RAM
Radeon HD 6450
Intel Core i3-3220 @3.30GHz

Now, I've never modified the hardware of my PC before. Will I need to make any changes in addition to inserting the hardware I want to buy? Also, I'm trying to keep the price under $500.
