I like all the MGS games I've played so far. >.> Including MGS2-- Emma, Vamp, and Fortune are awesome characters, and the story is a lot of fun. CRACK LEIK WOAH, but at least they tried explaining it! :D (I'm also a fan of Kingdom Hearts; lolwhut is my gaming bread and butter. XD ) I'm also pretty fond of Raiden.
Hate his girlfriend, and I wonder about his taste if Rose is his "Perfect" girl, but I really don't mind Raiden. (Maybe because I played MGS2 before MGS, then played MGS2 again? Or maybe it's my wild fangirling of Raikov and appreciation for hot naked men.

MGS3, while a great story and huge amounts of fun to play, didn't have the same empathy for the bad guys that the previous games had-- in MGS1/MGS2, you knew
why,
what drew Foxhound and Dead Cell into their rebellion, what drove each character. (With, perhaps, the exceptions of Octopus, who got dead really quickly, and Fatman, who just liked blowing stuff up. XD;; ) In MGS3, though, you got... a guy covered in bees. And a double-jointed spider guy. And a pyromaniac with a jet pack. And an old guy with creepy eyes. And the most heart-breaking romance ever, but the depth and emotion of the Joy and the Sorrow's stories wasn't shared at all by the rest of the Cobra unit.
... On the other hand, MGS3 had Ocelot, Volgin, and Raikov as bad guys. Those three make up for all the shortcomings in the game with their awesome hotness and gayness. XD (My
god Ocelot crushes on BB. And you don't even want to get me started on Volgin and Raikov-- I can fangirl them for
hours. :3 )
As for MGS4... I'll be over here, saving for a PS3 and fawning over Vamp and Raiden. Kojima is the purveyor of fine video game crack, and I won't even venture a guess as to what trip he'll take us on next-- for as long as it has fuel for my fanfic, Hal being adorkable, and plenty of awesomely fun and frustrating gameplay with heart-pounding boss battles, I'll be happy.
