If you've never heard of it before, Video Games Live is a concert that plays music from some of the greatest games of all time, follwed by a meet and greet with some of the most famous people in the game industry. Oh, and costume contests. :godot:

I'll be attending the one in San Francisco this February. Have any of you gone to it before? What are your thoughts on it?

I've never heard of this particular concert. I've heard of Play! A Videogame Symphony, though. It's pretty amazing.

I went to the San Francisco show last year, too. It was pretty neat. I got to meet the guy who created Tetris, the voice of Mario, and the composer for the LoZ and Mario series. I saw Miyamoto was walking around too, but I didn't get a chance to meet him. :sadshoe:

Hearing One Winged Angel live was pretty cool, too.

@Gyakuten Phoenix: Funny, I had never heard of Play! before. I looked it up, and it looks like they're both basically the same, though VGL is a bit bigger.

I've never been to any type of video game "show", let alone a concert. And since it's in Toronto, maybe I should check it out.... do tickets have to be bought? (dumb question since it's a concert but I've never bought tickets to anything besides movie theatres, amusement parks, and bowling alley arcade games).

Yeah, it's usually around 50 bucks, but it depends on where you sit.
