Anyone a fan of these games? Riviera was fun, but my favorite is Yggdra Union so far. However... I haven't beat it because I want to get the PSP version, scheduled for NA release in September. =P

Anyway, Sting announced that along with their new game, Knights in the Nightmare, Riviera and Yggdra Union take place in the same universe.

Altogether, they're called the Dept. Heaven series. Riviera is the first game, Yggdra Union the second, and Knights in the Nightmare the fourth.

Knights in the Nightmare is a new Sting game that's coming out in Japan in the fall (the release date was recently changed). There's not much info or media on it, but once again there's a strange new gameplay aspect to it. You play as a wisp who posesses knights to give them commands. As they fight, you (as the wisp) have to avoid damage as well. It's turn based, and it's a tactics game (sorta?), but that's about all I know.

BTW, it has English voice clips(and not in in bad Japanese accents)! How cool is that!?

KitN has trailers! Finally! Surprisingly, one is narrated in English and the other one is in Japanese. I wonder if Sting is planning a double release...?

I really want to hear what other people are thinking about this game. Does the system look too complicated? Does it seem cliche? Does it feel like whenever Atlus decides to localize this game, it's not soon enough? I know there are Sting fans (or at least curious people with DSes) out there in this forum, so comment please?

cliche, comlicated, I don't care I want it. Along with Yggdra Union for PSP. Though I do not really like Yggdra Union battle system. It annoying to lose in a battle when the enemy isn't even fighting.

I like Yggdra Union. It's a lot easier than all the other tactics games out there for me. It's probably because I'm an item whore though.

I'm psyched for YggdraPSP. So far the only VA I dislike is Yggdra's, but Milanor's awesomeness more than compensates for that. Hopefully it doesn't load as slowly as RiviPSP, but I'd play it anyway. (Though the death of Yggdrar will be sad) However, I'm afraid for Neitzche's VA... unnatural high-pitched squeaky does not bode well with me. I hope it's someone who sounds childish in the natural way.

There's yet to be a second game that was too complicated for me to play, and I doubt KitN will be that game.

People say it's complicated because there's no detailed description of how the game plays yet, so all you know is that you control some wisp is floating around possessing people to attack. How does that work? Dunno. If you look at the play video that doesn't help, but makes things worse. (This is where STING's tradition of putting tutorials at the beginning is appreciated.)

Some say it's cliched because of the english narrator. she does sound pretty corny.
