I am going to be honest here.

Aside from Star Ocean 4, none of them looks very appealing.

Most of them are rushed generic JRPGs...nothing new and refreshing.

Star Ocean does look quite amazing but I also think that The Last Remnant has some promise to it. Infinite Undiscovery looks kinda dated, and short and not amazingly fun, but it could pull out as a sleeper hit. I think The Last Remnant may have a intresting battle system in its hands, and I think if its done right, the story could be quite good. But hands down Star Ocean 4 wins the award for best looking. I have high hopes that Remnant will do good. I already will admit I have no intrest in discovering the Undiscovery, but if it gets good reviews I may rent it. Star Ocean and The Last Remnant are ones That I might buy if the gameplay videos Do magic on my mind. High hopes....Square-Enix dont ruin them again XD

what about kingdom hearts, i'm not, but what i'm saying is even though a square game may have an extrodararily wierd concept it may be an excellent game, even if it doesn't look good that may be the case

I'm getting so bored with JRPGs, especially with generic medieval drivel (FFXII = most boring RPG on the PS2). I can't even tolerate the Tales games any more. It takes something extremely special (like TWEWY and Nanashi no Game) to grab my attention anymore, unless it's something extremely simple by a company/franchise I adore (like Summon Nights Twin Age).

I already own PSU and Eternal Sonata for the 360, and both got very boring pretty quickly. If I buy any more RPGs for the 360, they're going to be Lost Odyssey and MAYBE Tales of Vesperia and Halo Wars. As hilarious as it was that FFXIII would be coming out for the 360, I'm so bored with how bad the Final Fantasy games have become. They've been on a landslide since the epic FF9 (FF9 was so high up though, that FFX seemed pretty decent). All of the spin offs have also been getting worse and worse (Crystal Chronicle games, both of the new ones are terrible). I'm skeptical as hell in getting FFIV for the DS and Chocobo Dungeon for the Wii.

Halo wars is an RTS not an RPG, and FF IV is apparently pretty good

Well after watching some more trailers and videos, I must say Infinite Undiscovery looks a lot more intresting. It sounds though that the main character is voiced by the dude who voiced Jack Russell in Radiata Stories (Hit or miss) Also Wiki apparently said the game is 2 disks, but im not confirming it, just what I read. I also wacthed a demo of one of the creators playing it. If theres battle music when you fight monsters, the song they played better be it XD. So now I dont know what to buy, Fable II or Infinite Undiscovery. I have 1 gift card for only 1 of them...

dood they made a lot of improvments in fable two besides those two things, for one the gameplay is deeper and the story is longer

I just bought Infinite Undiscovery today, Its pretty fun, not amazing like i would have hoped, But its still pretty fun. Its basically Kingdom Hearts, star ocean and a hince of Final Fantasy mixed into one. Kingdom hearts for the real time, Star Ocean for the controls, and final fantasy for the story.

Woot double post. I finished Infinite Undiscovery a few weeks ago and it turned out to be one of my favorite rpgs on the 360 ( not to much comptition anyways) But I really enjoyed it. The story was very intresting and humorus when needed. The cast was a bit to much ( i mean the last few people to join you really have no use and in story they appear for like a few minutes, and they act as if they were with you from the beginning) But overall I did love the game. Very happy I bought it over fable II.

Next on the list is The Last Remnant. Still a tad of mystrey but since TGS is this week I'm sure new info will become known, as well as Star Ocean 4 news. Maybe If were lucky some FFXIII news, but not holding my breath.

I have no doubts that the Square Enix games will bring much needed attention in Japan as they're really lagging over there as a lack of traditional Japanese games for them sort of makes them ignore the Xbox360. In any case, I might reserve my judgement over these games till I head over TGS to see.

And regarding RPGs being stale, that's sort of true but it takes one good (good grief) story to make it. And if you don't like it, then don't play. Simple enough.

Well The Last Remnant Is looking more and more epic everytime I see a new update or video. Now we have actualy gamplay footage, and this game is shaping up to be a epic. Lets hope it delivers. The story seems good, and the music and graphics are great, so I hope it'll deliver.

Square Enix really hasn't delivered something *awesome* for about 7 years now.
Kingdom Hearts Series? Alright.
Advent Children? Awful!
Dirge of Cerberus? Crap!
Final Fantasy XII? Bland!
Dragon Quest 8? Boring!

I could go on, but in their defense I still haven't played Crisis Core or The World Ends With You. TWEWY might be pretty good, but I don't especially like Tetsuya Nomura. I'd be perfectly happy if the guy started working on his own properties like Kingdom Hearts and TWEWY exclusively and just acted as a character designer working off of Amano's concept art on Final Fantasy games like he used to. I like how he refined Amano's old stuff, but when he works on his own he goes too leather/belt happy.

We'll see what happens with these titles. I wouldn't expect anything that'll knock your socks off though.

Well that style really suits TWEWY (the villains and the main character especially) so you either won't mind and enjoy the game or you'll look at the box and go "ew" xD
