Anyway, Disgaea is awesome.(In my opinion, anyway.)
I haven't played the third one(I don't really plan on getting a PS3 anytime soon.) but I've beaten the first game, and I am currently playing through Disgaea 2, which I finally obtained recently after a long and annoying search.
So yeah, you can discuss about anything Disgaea related here.

I blame it on the level up system. There are no tactics and the battles tend to be straight up SMASHAN SMASHAN POWERRRR so anybody who isn't currently strong will likely never 'naturally' progress to become strong. You have to force them out to train, just so others get left behind and ... man it bugged me. Everything got really uneven.

The humor was all it had, because NIS did it so much better later on. It's been coasting on this alone, and sadly, it's probably the only reason it's the only franchise being milked by NIS, as well.

I personally was really fond of the gridless battle systems, like Phantom Brave.
Actually, Phantom Brave was probably my favorite of the PS2 games by far. It was endearingly charmingly cutely appealingly adorable at times. Followed by Makai Kingdom. Which, uh, wasn't.

I like being able to choose my characters' names. I do not like having to K.O. an enemy to get any experience points. Final Fantasy Tactics had a much better EXP system.
