I'm a dedicated Nintendo fan. I always have and will be. However, as I look at the lineup of games that Nintendo has to offer, I can tell that I'm not going to be playing anything new or interesting for a while. I've been considering buying another console for a while now, but I was wonder which one I should pick. I've been leaning towards the Ps3, but the 360 does have a few things that I would like as well. I'm just asking: which one should I pick? (Note: Don't mention Halo or Resistance. I couldn't care less about either of them.)

Xbox 360. Believe me, there arn't very much good games for the PS3.

But with the 360, there are heaps of good games, and online play!!!

PS: Sony sucks.

I've considered that. The problem here is price: I can't afford to play online with the 360. The Ps3 has free online, and it's decent, as opposed to Nintendo's WiFi. When it comes to games, most of the games I want are for both consoles, so I can get them if I pick either. The only game I'm interested in that's exclusive to the 360 is Banjo Kazooie, compared to Ps3, which has Warhawk and LittleBigPlanet.

If you're asking for advice on what to choose, why is the topic asking for advice on what you've already chosen? I'm confused.

I haven't chosen either. I'm leaning towards (meaning I'm more likely to choose) the Ps3. I'm just asking for some advice on which one to pick, because I haven't made a complete choice yet.

Not PS3, you'll end up regretting it. I mean, most of the games you'll find on another console. PS3 uses it's pretty graphics to draw in nubs. According to sources, at some point the Wii had 2x the amount of sales as the 360 and 4x the amount of the PS3. Also, it has alot of unnecessary features.

Also, i've seen a video comparrasion. Playing PS2 games on the PS3 is fail. Basically backwards compatability is a phail for the PS3.

Also here is an extract from a website "4. Controllers are horrible. They're similar to PSX controllers, meaning they're uncomfortable. Sony stole Nintendo's ideas, and executed them horribly, with new tilt sensing capabilities. Oh yeah, they removed the rumble feature. Enjoy."
Useless features? You can get FREAKIN' PS3 GRILL, fail, why? whose gonna grill a burger patty in your living room? (if you take it out, then you have to replug it in agan :p)

Ok, why to buy a 360? Halo 3 >.< and Fallout 3.

But at your current situation, i would go for the PS3.

According to someone on youtube, this determines what console to get:

Do you have Friends? Yes: (Move to next question) No: Get a PS3
Are your friends real or from the internet? Yes: (Get a Wii), No: Get a Xbox 360.

I say 360 only because at this present time it has more of a varity of games. It has more games in every genre made. Sure a lot of the go to ps3 as well but theres still a lot of 360 exclusives. Also this is more of a what type of games do you play? If its shooters it goes either way. If its RPGS then 360 has the win, intresting new things in games, that can go either way. So it comes down to a matter of prefrences on both genre of game.

So, I hear you don't like the PS3, huh? Ever try playing some games on it yourself without having to rely on sources(that you haven't really named)?

Anyway, why not go for the PS3 if you want? I mean, people've already said it: most games you can find for the PS3, you can also find for the 360. Which means you can buy them for the PS3.

I'd choose Ps3, but its price is still ridicilous. When it drops around 200 E, then I will buy it :D

Get a good gaming PC instead. All games you really need for PS3 and X360 (bar a few exceptions, such as Little Big Planet), are available there anyway, with better online.

I suggest finding out as much about them and see what fits your style the best. Heck, if the opportunity comes, try them out.

Xbox 360, unless Little Big Planet is your priority.

The 360 is cheaper, the new versions of the consoles no longer have the red ring issue yet still have the extended warrenty (which is awesome, the PS3 warrenty is only good for one year), the new consoles come with 60 gig harddrives, multiplatform games run smoother on the 360, far superior online content and gameplay, and in most peoples' opinions a far better game library. Doesn't hurt that a lot of developers made their originally PS3 exclusive games multiplatform or just made them 360 exclusives period.

The PS3 has a Blu-ray player, is far more expensive, and depending on which version you get (aren't there...eight?), it won't be backwards compatable with your PS1 and PS2 games.

It honestly comes down to which console has the exclusive games you want to play, but if all the games you want to play are available for the 360, then get a freaking 360.
