Ok I have a little problem. I am a fan of 2d sprite based rpgs. Heck i find them beautiful. Anyways I have had some mixed luck with Gust games. My first was Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana which I found to be enjoyable although not very good in story compared to other rpgs. I also Have Atelier Iris 2. It was alright but wasnt to thrilled with it. And I have Mana Khemia. I found that to be very very boring. But one series by gust i never tried was the Ar Tonelico series.

Now with that this leads me to ask. How does it play compared to the above games I listed? Is it better? Worse? Around the same? Im intrested because so far AR Tonelico 2 looks great but of course I thought the other gust games did too and wasnt that thrilled in the end. So I ask, Is AR Tonelico 2 worth looking into? Or should I just ignore it?

If anyone can please tell me if they liked the other series, and why they did, as well as if they played Ar Tonelico2.

If it's remotely like the first one, DO NOT TOUCH IT. It will likely lag (an inexcusable fact considering this isn't GUST's first game, but I hear they fixed it), it will be too easy and the story is not even remotely interesting. The only reason to play this game is if you're really a fan of every single bad anime cliché in history.
