Also, the trek in Jade Passage to Pandemonium was a bitch. In fact, I had less difficulty with the final boss than going across one floor. >_<

While you don't have to beat him to finish the game, you do if you want to complete the game and get the good ending. And he is freakin insane on Bitter (hard) mode. One of the most challenging bosses I've ever faced.
