There used to be an awesome Team Fortress 2 thread here. Since it's probably 5+ pages into the deep dark caves of the Court-Records archives i'm making a new one.

Anyone still play it? I live in Australia and usually only 1-2 servers actually have people playing on it. When i go on the American servers, there are alot of unfriendly people.

e.g

me: That Medic's a spy!
random guy: just...shut the fuck up faggot.

What platform do you play it on? PC? 360? PS3?

I'm a 360er myself, and I do wish we could say "The Medic's a Spy" or "There's a sentry ahead!". I'd at least be happy with the Spy cloak update.

Slightly amusing story, Granary point as a defending Medic. I approach control point A and there's a Pyro, and a Soldier being healed by another Medic. I suspect there's a spy and spycheck the Pyro with my Bonesaw, he proves otherwise with a taunt. Boom, the soldier was the spy and backstabbed us.

Lesson Learned: Spycheck even those being healed. Chances are that Medic didn't do it himself.

Also, I tried using the headset, but I can't hear anyone else's voice over it, and I know the volume is at the right level. I'm not sure if they can hear me or not. Is there an XBox setting that prevents it? Do I necessarily have to become friends with someone to speak to them over the headset?

I play it on PC. All source games should be played on PC, because source games are highly modifiable, therefor there is a large mod community.

Also on of my stories:
On a payload map, i was blue (attacking team) and a pyro. I usually do suicidal charges into enemy territory, and this time in the middle of my charge, a friendly medic ubercharged me. I ended up killing around 10 enemies :D I'd think Pyro is a better ubercharge partner then the Heavy.

As for the Medic's best uberpartner, I think it depends on whether the partner can get into the base/middle of the frontline or not, especially given that sentry gun bullets have knockback power that works on ubered players. If you can get right in the best spot where the flamethrower can reach enough players, then the Pyro works wonders. If however, there are sentries with firepower that will obstruct your running speed, the Heavy can still inflict solid damage, whereas the Pyro is next to useless if that flamethrower isn't in range.
