Also, I bet the demo has a lot of resources on it, it may be 5GB but the game won't be nothing more than 50GB.... I'd imagine so at least.

I'm not sure if SE has said anything about using a single layer or a duel layer of the blu-ray disc but they did say they would probably only need one disc. One layer is 25 gb and the demo was only a small portion of the game at 5gb. Even if you remove the trailers for Versus and Agito that is a good chunk of a DVD disc. Assuming that they only use one layer of the blu-ray then assuming they use up the 25 gb that's 6 DVD discs. If we can take the demo as a reflection of how much space will be used in the long run we have to remember that the demo only uses up 30% of the actual capabilities in graphics and battle se there's realistically going to be more space used up in the real game. Granted though, in games developers usually add dummy files, files can be compressed, and there's still duel-layered dvds so that would help a fair bit but it's still a pain imo.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind multi-disc games but it's just less convenient in many ways like the amount of discs and the fact is one disc becomes unplayable the other discs are worthless. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure SO4 had a Legend of Dragoon disc system of having to change discs to go back to certain locations to which adds to the hassle even further.
As for me, I'm a PS3 owner so I'm not as worried about that sort of thing but I am worried about the looming possibility of the original game getting downplayed for the port version since they've mentioning having to be careful of their development on the PS3 because they have to keep in mind the 360's capabilities too.

You missed the point because I was being stupidly vague. On the PS3, some games require you to install it on to the hard drive to even play it, taking up precious space. Why? Although more data can fit on a Blu-Ray disc, the data is read at a slower speed. Thus many games that would need to come on Blu-ray would need to be installed.

I guess it means that everyone will be swapping discs and 360 owners will be slightly fitter.

Okay, let me think...
Right, so the Final Fantasy Demo is 5GB, although I can't really name games, I've played 1GB demos which lasted me only half an hour, yet the game was all on one disc. I don't know if that makes sense, but half an hour of game using 1GB of space, out of a total of 9GB for one DVD, you'd be surprised how much they can fit. I really don't see the problem, I see this game definitely having multiple discs on the 360 version but its not really going to be a problem. I guess it can also depend on how much space they're going to use. Lost Odyssey installation (I assume its full considering the disc is only used for copy protection reasons) is 24GB, yet has 4 DVDs out of roughly 36GB. If they fill each disc to the maxinum they may get away with 4 DVDs max. Again though, it doesn't really bother me and I look forward to the game regardless of having to change a disc a few times.
