I found out about this game a few months ago and thought it was pretty awesome. You take the role of a girl named Iji is injected with nanotechnology and thrown into an apocolyptic world where you have to save the world from aliens. Sounds a little cliche, but it's definitely a game worth trying out. The game has some interesting plot twists depending on how you play the game. It's basically a shooting platformer with a little bit of a twist. Your character is assigned stats and as you kill your enemies, they drop things called nano and if you collect enough you level up. The leveling up system is different in the aspect that you don't gain stats but instead spend your level points at specified stations to up your stats. There are eight different stats that include things ranging from strength to kick down doors and enemies and health to raise your health to fun ones like crack where you can unlock safes and even combine weapons for stronger guns.

The storyline IMO is very good too, but unless you take the time to look around within the game, you only catch the surface of the plot and not the meat, which makes exploration well worth it. The story also changes slightly depending on whether you enjoy killing things or wanting to run the game as a pacifist.

The music in the game. Freaking amazing. If you're into hard rocking soundtracks, then it's definitely worth checking, but the solemn tracks are good too.

Overall, the game can be described as System Shock 2 in 2D.

The trailer for the game can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33mxD4FjD3w

The game itself can be downloaded here. It's Freeware of course so it's free: http://www.remar.se/daniel/iji.php

If you like action platformers, it's definitely something good to look at. The fact that the whole game save for the VA and music was done by one person astounds me to no end with this game. His hard work definitely shows.

If anyone else has played this game before, I'd love to hear what their opinion is on it. Hope I didn't blabber on too much. I didn't see a topic on this and thought this would be a nice game to introduce to those who have never played it.
On April 3, 2016, Court Records Forums experienced a miracle upon that day.

Man...that looks dull...this actually makes me worried for KH3 (since that team worked on the battle system)
