Steel, we don't know whether or not that Protodude's last announcement is true, and the Legends fanbase has apparently had a lot of hit-and-miss times in the 10 year gap between now and MML2. And besides....... SHIT, I lost the rest of what I was gonna say.

.... Right, I think I get this now. Prosecutor.Blue, if the chances (odds) of you buying another Capcom game decreases significantly does happen, that's kinda unfair to your (albeit self-chosen) role as a Ace Attorney fan AND a Mega Man fan. Why lose the odds of buying games from a company that makes great games (most of the time) if a game like MML3, that is hinted at, isn't released? Besides, sorry to burst the MML3 bubble, but.....

Protodude's Rockman Corner's "Rumor: Source Of MM9 Leaks Says Mega Man Legends Sequel In Development (Update) wrote:
Further, The Shadow could not confirm if the title of the game is actually "Mega Man Legends 3" because the project has no working name at this point. Nevertheless, it is considered to be the next entry in the series.

Despite The Shadow's track record, it's best to take this with a grain of salt. "Hope for the best, expect the worst", as they say. I'll be keeping you posted on any new developments should they arise.

While it's considered being the next entry in the series, this source is coming from someone whom may or may not have a credible close-to-home source (meaning, we don't know where exactly The Shadow got his news from).

Yeah I know what you all mean. but my point is Capcom has a habit of taunting, teasing, and completely infuriating the legends fans. Now this time we have not one little hint from Capcom that they're "making a sequel to an old series." The fans get hyped and it turns out as something like Resident evil or something. Plus there are all of there little cameos with Servbots in just about every game it seems. This time we have several much more specific hints giving it a much much better chance. My point is, if this is another one of their attempts to tease us, they don't even deserve my cash, new Ace attorney game or no.

However knowing me my mind would probably change by the time the next one comes out. :/

It happens to the best of us. But more than likely, it happens to those who aren't prepared for when an awesome game comes out, and WE WANT IT SO MUCH. XD

Yeah I know what you mean. The most annoying thing for me is I just bought a new DS Lite a couple months ago, and never really even thought of waiting for the 3DS. In a way I'm thankful for that though, because odds are I'll get one of those someday, and I probably never am going to get a PS3 or Xbox360. unless it was on Wii or DS, than I'd need to buy something anyway, so I'm glad it was something I'd probably get someday anyway.

I know what you mean. All night Tau has been trying to study for a History test. needles to say this kind of made it hard for him. Sleep will be rather difficult for me tonight. XD If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go lie awake in bed for a few hours since sleep is unlikely.

So, getting away from the MML3 excitement, what is everyone's favorite Classic series game? Mine personally is 3, but I've noticed that almost everyone I talk to says 2. I've played that one multiple times, and yes it's a good game, but especially compared to the later games in the series I found it to be lacking and primitive. And what bugs me the most is that both 9 and 10 use the same controls. Thoughts anyone?

Any particular reason why?

I forgot to add this to my last post. The main reasons why 3 is my favorite are, it's longer with the Doc robots, but you don't have to go through another castle without saving unlike 4-6, it's harder, with a lot of them I've played them so many times it's not really much of a challenge anymore, (I played Mega Man 6 one time in one sitting and didn't use special weapons on the 8 bosses)this one however still remains challenging, Plus it just feels well rounded. Plus this one has the uber Rush jet.
And before anyone asks regarding the difficulty, no I am not on easy mode and playing with extra lives. I'm playing it on the hardest difficulty.

Personally, I've played every Classic MM game, but all but MM2 were emulated. It was harder and less fun for me, the lag was unbearable, and the occasional glitching was horrible, so obviously my opinion would be biased.
And personally, I prefer the Protomen over the Megas.

Well personally, I've played NONE OF THEM, along with every single game in the MM franchise, and it haunts me daily! But dammit, I'm tryin'.

So, do I need to listen to the Protomen, too?

I've only heard like two of their songs, but I liked what I heard. One of them was in the Mega Man fan film which I saw a while ago, so naturally I don't remember that one as well. The other is "The Annihilation of Monsteropolis," (aka, Airman) and I love that one. I keep meaning to find some of their other stuff.

Mega Man Legends 3? I didn't think that it was ever going to come out. Guess Capcom finallt gave Inafune the green light to make MML3. Not my favorite series, but it's cool for the MML fans.

I wonder if Capcom will ever make Mega Man X9? Maybe in a couple of years.

As far as the classic Mega Man games go, while I think 2 is the best game, Mega Man 3 is my personal favorite. Here's my order from best to worst, in my opinion:
2-3-9-4-10-1-5-7-6-8. Mega Man and Bass would be between 7 and 6. I don't hate any game in the original series (sans the crappy DOS games.) Mega Man 8 is my least favorite because of the absolutely horrible voice acting.

They sound interesting, as do the Protomen. But I haven't gotten around to listening to their songs yet. (Note to self: Stop putting it off, just like how you're putting off that Tron Bonne cosplay for Halloween. XDThose kids from the OPC are gonna be like "WTF are you wearing?") But yeah, a crapload of Mega Man-related stuffs is happening now, huh? (Am I just realizing this? No, but dangit, it still feels surreal that MML3 is actually being made even after the announcement 3 weeks ago.)

Wait...what?

Steel got banned for a week after the third (yes, third) Ladder VS. Stepladder thread that was made, and it didn't end until yesterday. But it's okay, really. Not much happened in a week. (Except for mah awesome new sig and avy! *SHOT*) Even then, we missed him and his crazy posts. (Or at least, I did. I always miss my buddies if they're gone for a while.)

@ rydus65: Horrible voice acting is horrible. You just have to deal with it and continue loving the games. Zero's current Eng. VA kinda bothered me in the Day of Sigma OVA ("ruckus"? "rabblerouser"? WHO SAYS THAT NOW{besides old people}?), but that doesn't mean I'll dislike the X series for it. (No, I'll only hate Axl because he's weird and probably an idiot, but I wouldn't know that for sure.)

Oh, and I'd like to add: Bass~! <3

^At least that doesn't have Dr. Light having a bad Elmer Fudd style of speaking and giving MEGAMAN a higher pitched voice than ROLL.

Still, I don't hate Megaman 8. The game itself is alright.

I actually do like Mega Man 8. To be honest the main thing I don't like about it is it's way too easy. I once went through the entire game without any special weapons, and the only thing I got from the store was the Short charge. And I didn't get that until the 8 bosses which is the last thing you do before Wily. And to be honest...It wasn't all that hard. The Green Devil was a pain, but not incredibly difficult. Sure the voice acting stinks, but I just skip the cutscenes anyway. So yeah, compared to the other games it's not as good, but it wasn't bad. Plus it had a great soundtrack. *Starts humming Tengu Man's theme* Tengu Man is like my number one favorite Robot Master. I'll always like 8, but as a game it's not quite as good as the other ones. If I were to put it higher it would be mostly due to Nostalgia so I'm keeping it at the bottom.

My list of favorite Classic games would probably go like this.
3-5-Bass-6-2-7-4-1-8
I haven't played 9 or 10. Frankly I stopped really caring about them when I heard that both of them took out the slide and charge shot.

B-bu-but....... But I kinda liked the high-pitched- Nevermind.

It's not like Megaman is supposed to sound like a manly man. That just wouldn't work. (If anything, the voice actor for most younger versions of Megaman could be voiced by the last two that voiced a version of Megaman in the other game series (in this case, the anime versions -_-;). Like Andrew Francis (Battle Network) or Jason Spisak (Star Force)- if I even spelled his last name right. They're not completely manly-sounding, but they're also not high-pitched.)

Ahahaha, poor Dr. Light.... XD

I agree that he doesn't have to have a manly man voice. Just... not the voice he had in MM8.

I agree with Prosecutor Blue about the special weapons as well. I really disliked the Mega Ball. Also, I didn't care for the 4 Rush Powers as well.

The voice Mega Man X had in Mega Man X4 was pretty bad as well, although no where as bad as MM8. But MMX4 was one of the best of the MMX games of the series besides the first two SNES games in my opinion.

Going on.....

The first game I ever played was Mega Man 2. The first robot master that I ever beat was Air Man. Now there's a song that claims that Air Man cannot be defeated. Maybe it's just me, but I thought Air Man was really easy to beat. Even without the Leaf Shield. Even on difficult I didn't thing he was that bad. I don't have a problem with the song or anything, Guess I just don't understand it. It's entertainment I guess.

Oh yeah, the heroine for Megaman Legends 3 has been chosen and choice is quite Legends-like (if that is a way to refer to something)...........
 Inafune's Roll-clone heroine design is placed last, sometimes you have to wonder if that was the reason he left though I seriously doubt it unless if he wanted to be the king of all sore-losers.

Yeah, I saw that on Legends Station, I think.... (I voted for the 2nd place winner.)

But no, I don't think that why Inafune's leaving Capcom. Someone on LS had a good (if not conspiracy-theoretical-like) explanation as for why he's leaving. (A crapload of people have said that it was similar to both Roll and Zero, in some odd weird-a fashion.)

Great Revival

Status Report:

It's been speculated that Megaman Legends 3 has been dropped, because it's been dropped from the Japanese Capcom website. But this is just a rumor. Unlike Megaman Unvierse, this game is constantly being updated, so I doubt they dropped the ball with it.

Also, Great Revival goes well with this post, lol.

FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
Oh wait. The Internet is nothing but rumors. Still, it hurt my soul a little bit. Like when I found out Capcom doesn't love American 2g iPods anymore. (I wanted Monster Hunter and the rest of the GS serieeeeeeees D:)

And way to steal my Great Revival gimmick lol

My thoughts exactly. :edgeworth: I was disappointed that the Prototype Version couldn't make it to the eShop's release.

It's kind of old news at this point, but has everyone seen the new guy in Legends 3? The guy in the demo, Barret. http://www.gogaminggiant.com/wp-content ... 85x300.jpg :redd:
