dammit. everyone (except maybe dagger or beatrix) was freakin ugly. zidane included. thank god for his new dissidia design, really, thank god.

IX is amazing, I personally know a ton of people who like it, but I don't people like it enough. Especially other people who are fans of Final Fantasy. It does pretty much everything better than the others, but no one ever acknowledges it. The character design wasn't THAT bad. Zindane could've looked a bit cooler, but I didn't really mind him. Vivi was well designed, and Amarant wasn't really that bad. Kuja was probably the worst though, with his man thong and all ='/

1: FF:Mystic Quest (I swear, I am the only person I know that liked this game)
2: Amazing Island (The same doesn't go for this game, since I know a few people who actually liked this game, but it is still a shunned game, yet, it's like my second favorite GameCube game so far.)
3: Spyro, A Hero's Tail (This is the closest Vivindi got to the good ol days of Insomniac. Although it is nowhere near as good, it still isn't too bad. Plus, the voice acting is good.)
That's all I can think of now.

Funny how the first two were a part of my childhood. But wait, Mario Sunshine is a "shunned" game? Why's that? Next thing is you'll be telling me Luigi's Mansion is shunned, huh?
Also, I love Metroid: Other M. I feel like it's been forever since we've had a game that wasn't part of the Prime series, and it feels refreshing to have a new Metroid game that does finally mix up the gameplay formula for the series. Sure, I recognize the game has it's faults (going through the lava sector without the varia suit authorized, Samus' OOC portrayal, some of the pre-boss scanning sections) but I still had a lot of fun playing it.

It's shunned for its linearity and being completely grindy. Now, yes, the game is extremely linear - and I like that, it works, I mean the party are fugitives and are supposed to be killed on sight. They don't have the freedom or opportunity to just go wherever they want and do whatever they want - plus, with the ticking time bomb of the brands, they don't have all that much time to just wander around and do stuff.
As for the grinding, this game practically prohibits grinding.
The Crystarium is put into stages that you unlock one at a time. So no matter how much you fight and how much CP you get, you won't get stronger. This game is different from previous FFs - and other RPGs - and makes you focus on strategy when fighting enemies, rather than grinding and becoming way too overpowered.
The grinding does become apparent post-game, but that's only if you want the Trophies.
And while the game is shunned, I just don't see why it's that terrible a game.
I played it, I still play it and I enjoy playing it.
Final Fantasy X-2
To be honest, yeah, Yuna is a moron. I hate her new appearance and the way she seems to become a copy of Tidus... the story and game entirely is kind of weak and too lighthearted, but come on! They killed the large abomination in the last game, why not give us something lighthearted after 1000 years of oppression and depression. Plus, I like the Dress Sphere designs.
Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword
Yes, the game has flaws. No, the game is not unplayable because of said flaws.
Actually, this game isn't being shunned, it's just absolute fucking idiots exaggerating the flaws the game has to all hell and gone and deem it unplayable because of the flaws. Wish those idiots would shut up, cause they're wrong!
Tales of Phantasia
Maybe it's the nostalgia talking, but I just love playing this game. As for the high encounter rate of random battles... well, I am perfectly capable of turning those off at any moment I want. (Just have to be careful, otherwise I get a random battle in a city against Fenrir who will kill me)
