The best way to get money in this game: Beat, Day 1. Switch to "Ultimate", and go against ALL enemies you see in the first area you can fight in with Beat (I forget the name, but it's the place between the Underpass and Hachiko). ONE enemy you face there, you'll face a ridiculous number of times: Orchesprog. Every Orchefrog has NUMEROUS ones of these guys surrounding them. At Level 100, the Drop Rate is 10%, but because you fight so f***ing MANY of them, you can max out the number of "Sprog" pins in a matter of minutes. I actually fought a 10 "Round" battle, and got over 70 Sprog pins from that.
Each Sprog Pin = 5,500 Yen.
70 Pins would then net a total of 385,000 Yen... I was ACTUALLY one pin away from completely maxxing out my "Stockpile" amount, before I started selling all of them...
Incidentally, fighting Taboo Sho on Hard Mode and Beat on Ultimate, are two things that I find, are the best ways to get Dark Matter... for Shadow Matter, fight Regular Sho on Ultimate: The Taboo Noise he keeps tossing you can drop Shadow Matter, so I find it quite beneficial (Though really, you can also fight in Joshua's week at any stage where you encounter Taboo Noise... Then the matches are quick & Easy, and still have the possibility to net you some Shadow Matter...
But really, by the end of the game, we've all developed our own "Yen/Pin/Level Farming" techniques, right? Heh...

The "Special Ability" is for Joshua, but... I'll still consider other options... Heh...
But right now, I need to work on Beat... and then I REALLY need to work on Shiki! She's still under 20 in her Attack and Defense categories!... But I'll be honest, I have yet to lose with her on my team, since the only bosses you fight with her, are the first Giant Bat, the Giant Bird, and Higashizawa... All of which are ridiculously easy, even on Ultimate... Heh...

You may also have to re-buy or re-obtain items you used in order to get OTHER items (Exp., You'd need a new 1, 5, and 10 yen pin(s) if you bought "Visionary Blend", Or you'd need new pins after buying "Samurai Sword", etc... But I assume your Pin Mastery wouldn't be related... Hmm...
Just check out all the stores, I guess... Oh! And get all the Def+ and Att+ "Stickers"... I think those each count as an "Item"...

The cross and bubble are easy to dodge since you can see them coming, and you can also escape from the bubble. The shot is really hard to dodge, but it's still okay. If you get stuck in the bubble, use your techs that can kill it (for me it was shockwave). Also while those pins recharge, don't forget that you can still use Noise while in the bubble!
You might want one or two healing pins. Peace Full is the best (heals 50% 5 times), period :P. Definitely use Rhyme. The others are up to you; just use what you feel most comfortable (excluding things like the pins that are supposed to immobilize enemies). I personally really like shockwave and energy/force round psychs.
Just keep blasting at him, and heal when you need to. It's a long battle, but don't worry, it gets quicker as it goes on. When you get the little cutscenes from Shiki, Josh, and Beat, make sure you pay attention to them. If you press their corresponding button on top, you'll get a light puck! The great thing about this is that it never goes away; the only time it goes away is when it goes back to a person, and you just need to press that person's button again! Once you get all 3, you can get it to 5x really quickly, and that just makes the battle a whole lot easier :P (especially if you use low-hit psychs, like Noise and Burst Rounds)

You tap any place on the map, and Rhyme comes (from the top left corner), lands on that space, and damages anything there. (You should've used it in the last part of the Konishi battle.)
Since Rhyme comes from the top-left corner, there's a delay between the tapping and the attack (the farter from the corner it is). That really isn't a problem for the final boss, but just be careful for when you use it against regular enemies that do move.

I MIGHT have also used the following pins, I'm not too sure... But they are three very important pins so... Here's three that can help you beat him all the faster:
Righty Cat, Brainy Cat, Lefty Cat: Combined, ONE of their effects is that any pin that requires a "Boot-Up" period at the start of the battle, will automatically be booted up... I forgot if I used this pin in particular or not, though...
By the way, my item collection rate is now 98.9, and I KNOW what the last items I need to get, are.

I considered using any "Pin Sets" a form of "Cheating" (Since they would make the battle even easier against Sho), hence why I think my ACTUAL pins in the Battle were:
"Sweet Talk Tether", "Lightning Rage", "Big Bang", "Big Crunch", "Tigre Punks", and "Peace Full".
For the record, the only pin I USED was Lightning Rage, since that did more damage than my Crunch/Bang set... Beat was RIDICULOUSLY overpowered in the battle though... I think that when he was given a 4 or 5x multiplier from the light puck, he took out about HALF of Sho's health Bar in a matter of seconds... maybe even less time than that!
... Incidentally, I don't consider USING "Sets" as cheating... But I wanted to use "Non-Set" pins for my Time Attack Record.

Anyway: If I really wanted to use a good set, I'd run each pin with a different psych activation command, allowing free use constantly and easy lockdown. The Black Planet series enables quicker kills with my style of play.

It wasn't a self-contradiction... I consider it "Cheating" when it comes to making "Record Time" with kills...
And if I wanted to do that, I might as well give Beat "Your Cap" and "Negotiator", and start my match with a Fusion Attack!
... Incidentally, that's what I do with Shiki, but the bosses she fights are pathetically easy... I can obliterate "Cornix Canor" with my "Sweet Talk Tether" ALONE!... ON ULTIMATE! :

Darklit Planets (Black Mars, Black Jupiter, Black Uranus, Black Venus, Black Saturn, Black Mercury): Each pin's efficiency is multiplied by 3, and some of the pins can induce "Abnormal Status Conditions".
Over The Top (Lefty Cat, Brainy Cat, Righty Cat): Cause all pins in the same deck to reboot 40% faster. Also, they eliminate "Boot Up" time limits at the start of rounds for pins that require them (Such as Lightning Rage).

If Neku has the puck, he will become invincible to all enemy attacks until the Light Puck is pass to his partner or it fades away; it does nothing to Neku's partner.

Me! Although I can beat any CPU player with only my first pin... Sweet Talk Tether tends to give me a LOOOOT of opportunities... Sadly, the only other useful pin I have for TPS is "Peace Full"... my SIXTH pin.
