A new trailer for Skyward Sword has been released at this year's Comic Con.

You can view the trailer here .

This trailer contains alot of clips from the one shown at E3 a few months back. However, it features some new clips as well as gameplay. The biggest surprice is shown at around at around 1:30, for it shows that the Gorons are back once again!!

Well, if the Gorons return, no doubt the Zoras will. Maybe even the Great Deku Tree and the Kokiri?

Which one do you guys think is more likely to return, the Kokiri and the Deku?

I don't really think the trailer is that "new", more like it has a lot of past things and a couple of new things.

Yeah. I also think that special sword techniches might return from TP. After all, during a small gameplay clip in the trailer, it showed Link doing the Finishing Blow he did in TP.

But the best sword techniques in all of TLoZ series were the ones in WW, or they were executed better, I dunno. I think I used them more in WW than in TP. Also, from the trailer, I noticed some Goron look alikes (but maybe they are Gorons but since they have a VERY updated design, look better). They look like more taller, tanner versions of TP Gorons.

MM3D will definitely come, trust me. MM sold over 3 million copies (even at the N64's last year). Besides, they already have the engine; OoT3D. They only have to adjust it.

Even the more reason why it'll be re-released. Also, this is all just a publicity stunt. After announcing they want fans to "show their support", the biggest Zelda fansites are banding together to help out. Also, it'll be time before major gaming sites publish Operation Moonfall.

There's another organized movement supporting MM3D (it started on YouTube). It seems that organized fans are "what's in" nowadays.

Hey does anyone here believe in the split timeline theory? Like, 2 of my best friends are more into Zelda than I am and they kind of researched it. I wasn't really that interested in the time line but hey, it makes sense.

Sure, I do to an extend... not that I care that much... And if I recall correctly, the whole split timeline theory was kinda confirmed in an interview with Aonuma

Oh was it? Hmm interesting. I'll let my friends know that. Yeah, it's not that important at all but it's just nice to know that Zelda actually has a time line.

Yeah. In Wind Waker, "the Hero of Time never showed" or something in the opening, and Majora's Mask happened, so there's "Desolate, Evil, Heroless Time" and there's "Lovely, Salvaged, Hero Time". Yerp.
And I try to piece the timeline together sometimes.

There is actually a guy who did it. It apparently took him forever to piece it together. It's crazy to understand all of the things that he did, but he explained it perfectly.

Fuck yeah Perry Gripp!
Anyways, I've been thinking of beating Zelda II: Adventure of Link. I really like the game, but it's too wierd on the Gamecube. So, should I buy it on Virtual Console, or emulate it, and jury-rig a SNES controller to play it on my laptop? Or keep suffering with the crappy Collector's Edition version?

Seriously if I were you, I'd buy it on the Virtual Console. I mean sure you won't be holding the exact same controller but you get the game experience all the same.

Post subject:  Re: The Legend of Zelda series

Well, a new SS trailer has been released! We finally get a good look at the weapon/iten upgrade system.

Here is the trailer.

Well, it seems that this game will have a total of nine items, if my theory is correct. In the 2:04 mark, you can see the items that can be upgraded. The list showed 12 slots, and if I remember correctly, this game will have three different types of shields. Since the the trailer showed a shield being upgraded, we can asume thet the other two shields will be upgraded as well.

So, what are your guys' thoughts on the upgrading system?

I personally think its a cool feature.

Author:  dullahan1 [ Thu Sep 15, 2011 3:20 am ]
Post subject:  Re: The Legend of Zelda series

I have to agree, the upgrade feature is a real nice touch to the series and they kept it simple enough to where it's not overly complex and I like that. Honestly, I don't think Zelda has delved much into actually upgrading your equipment since Link to the Past, or even the sword in Majora's Mask. I consider this a welcome addition, I'm only hoping, for this game, that all items you collect along the way will be useful throughout the whole game, unlike Twilight Princess. Man, I hated that game for doing something like that, you get an item, use it in the dungeon, and it's rarely used again.

The last few days have been heaven for any Zelda fan :larry2: and look how much information and trailers Gameinformer promise us. At some point I have to look the other way though.. don't want to get too spoiled (honestly, I pretty much knew how to complete the first two dungeons in Twilight Princess before the game even got out.)

And that trailer is only the tip of the iceberg. Iirc, two more trailers was released at the same time as that one. Plus, a load of new information about SS has been revealed the last couple of days. IMO, the most interesting bit of information is:
Spoiler:
the fact that Zelda's fathers name is Gaepora... you know, the guy who looks like an owl, but also kinda like the Rauru from OoT? And back then, fans suspected Rauru of being Gaebora Kaepora! Looks like there might have been something to it :redd:
