I just got, and completed, Portal.

Let me say one thing. I think I just played one of the best games ever.

I can't even express myself properly on this one.

It was perfect.

Absolutely perfect.

I'm ashamed to have ever doubted it.

Really.

And I can't even devulge beyond this, else I would spoil it completely.

Really, saying that is awesome is spoiler enough in itself.

If you havn't already, buy it. It's a work of art.

I'm quite sure that every detail of the storyline has been revealed by now. >_>

And now that I think about it, I suppose for what it is, Portal is more or less perfect. But realistically, it was little more than a tech demo, with a very, very awesome tacked on. :D

I'm quite releaved that I disagree with you. Every single place I've seen anything about Portal, people had not used spoilers. Hell, the closest thing to being spoiled is the first post of this very topic :gant:

Everything in Portal was perfect, so obviously they didn't over-play anything, as that would imply that they did something wrong.

So you're argument is flawed right then and there.

"Though Earth and Man is gone,
I thought the cube would last forever.
I was wrong."

I also really liked...

Spoiler:
Curiosity Core: Who are you? What is that? Ooh, what's that? What's that? What's that?? Ooh, that thing has numbers on it! Hey, look at that thing! No, that other thing! EWWW! What's wrong with your legs? Where are we going? Are you coming back? Oh hey! You're the lady from the test. HI! What's that noise? Is that a gun!? Ooh, what's in here? Do you smell something burning?
Me: *drops it into incinerator*
Curiosity Core: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Also, I loved the Cake Core, but I can't recall his whole recipe...

Oh, I also liked this one, too:

GLaDOS: You're not a scientist. You're not a doctor. You're not even a full-time employee.

EDIT: I just remembered another one:

GLaDOS: I just realized what that thing you just incinerated did. It was a Morality Core that they installed in me when I flooded the Enrichment Center with a deadly neurotoxin to stop me from flooding the Enrichment Center with a deadly neurotoxin. Please wait while I warm up the neurotoxin emmiters.

It's funny because she says "flooding the Enrichment Center with a deadly neurotoxin" the exact same way the second time. XD

Steam updated today with great news.
First, the SDK was updated and therefore, we can expect to see more great custom Portal maps.

Also, they showed a preview of the companion cube plushie due out by Christmas. The big version looks too round-ish, but is still adorable. I'm definitely getting the fuzzy dice version for my car.

I was crazy about Portal (having played through three times), then I found my physics teacher is crazier than I am. We drew a ton of diagrams for people who got stuck during 8th period. I think both of us are sealed as the biggest nerdfucks in that class.
